tick tock....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Fraid our man's a bit delusional himself if he hasn't seen our revenues creeping up behind them. Head still in the sand a little bit I'm afraid.

If you want a model look at United growth between, say, 1989 & 1999.. Easily done

From the owners original statements I know that one day City WILL be the biggest in everything, including ground.

If only I live long enough, but tick tock, as they say
“I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.”

So it's finally happening, he will also have the balls to drop yaya.

To be fair to the rag poster, pep did apparently say he would prefer London as his destination last year. But most foreign cunts say that so take it with a pinch of salt.

If you want to be considered the biggest club in England then this is how success is measured. The level of delusion amongst many blues is now too strong for them to see this. Many need to be reminded that there was football played in this country before 2008.

LOL. So you are currently the largest commercial football enterprise in the world.

But why do people around the world support manyoo? Because you have 100 years of glorious history, consistently winning trophies decade after decade? No, not really.

Maybe because they lived through the terrible munich tragedy and their heart has compelled them to support you ever since? Nope, 95% of your fans weren't even born then.

So here's the real reason that everyone knows: manyoo are the largest commercial football team in the world because they have consistently won trophies over the last 20 years. People like to support winners. And more worldwide fans means more money to sign the best players. Having the best players = more trophies = more fans....

But you don't have the best players any more. You don't even have one of the top 4 squads in England at the moment. Your manager is a dull and plays a style of football that puts people to sleep. Your owners aren't investing any more money in the club. They're just siphoning as much out as they can, without making their cash cow implode. Your academy in in ruins and your own "legends" send their kids over to learn football the City way. To get a rough guess at who is better prepared for the future, just look at the state of your fucking website vs ours.

What does this mean? Well, it means that your quality on the field isn't going to get better any time soon. Who's the last actual academy player whose been top level since those in your username? Hell, you just spent 250 million quid and your only half-decent player is a 19 year old French kid.

You see, this is what the downward slope looks like. It's harder to attract the best players, and those that you do get are 1.5-2x more expensive than they should be.

On top of that, you aren't winning trophies or playing attractive football anytime soon. So those "loyal" fans in American and Indonesia will slowly start wearing Barca, Real, and City jerseys. Because no one wants to get up at odd hours to watch a team across the world play garbage every week. And with less fans, means less money to spend on players.....

The tail end of the cycle (which many of your fellow fans have already advanced to) is clinging on to your 20 years of "history" (when you used to buy the league). Claiming that no other team is as big or good as you because you've done a ton of shit in the past. Sounds like some scousers down the road, eh?

Basically, manyoo will join liverpool as the bitter old men sitting in the corner, repeating the same boring stories year after year, and insisting that everyone pay them respect. Meanwhile, everyone else are in the prime of their life and excited about what tomorrow will bring. While they won't say it to your face, everyone just wants you to fuck off and die, since you've been a complete cunt for as far back as everyone can remember.

Excellent post. Cap is doffed

Your fanbase is the barometer of how big a club you are. The amount of drivel spouted by many ABU's about how all Utd fans are glory hunting cockneys is laughable. Do people really believe people are coming from all over the country to OT.

Utd had the biggest attendances even in the lean years before the PL started. It may surprise you to know that the highest ever attendance at the old Maine Rd was for a Utd match when we were sharing the stadium.

You have won 4 trophies since 2008 & have expanded the Etihad. You are still failing to put bums on seats. This points to you reaching a saturation point with your fanbase. We on the other hand are maxing out at 75,000 & building work is soon to start to increase capacity to 95,000. We also recently signed the biggest kit deal in British history. This all hardly points to a club in decline.

As for your revenue streams..taking your blue tints off.. do any of you actually believe that your main sponsorship deals are from companies not connected to Mansour.

It's estimated that only between 20-30% of our sponsorship revenue comes from the Middle East. And our shirt deal is undervalued relatively speaking.

You're wrong on the attendances too but I haven't got time to explain.

We have a 98.9 percent occupancy this season which makes us the third highest in the league so don't talk bollox, your wishful thinking is transparent. No doubt we could get an extra percent if we held our fans to ransom with threats and compulsory cup schemes like your lot though.

Should I be first to say it?
The highest attendance at Maine Rd is also a British record attendance outside Glasgow or London.

And it was a City match.

You need to at least respond to people who address your posts. Otherwise you're just spewing rubbish without wanting any kind of discussion.

One thing trying to have an argument/discussion with someone you disagree with. Another thing all together when they talk a bunch of shit, plug their ears when you respond, only to pick-up right where they left off once you're done.

But that's pretty much what we've all come to expect when talking to any rag. And why all the other fans in Britain have absolutely no respect for manyoo fans and think you're all a massive group of cunts.

The irony of a hurt rag joining a city forum, the day after we confirm the most sought after manager in the world, to tell us how he isn't worried, is definitely not lost on me.

Oh and funny for him to tout their sponsorship deals since that's the only big signings that woodward makes these days. Who needs Pep or KDB when you are Official Trading Partners with Thailand's largest noodle manufacturer.

Also on their sponsorships, quite hilarious when you see that the GM CMO was immediatly fired after signing the Chevy kit deal with them:

http://fortune.com/2012/08/13/what-real ... o-gms-cmo/

When the GM board found out about the deal, they immediately said, "Overvalued, don't associate our cars with this load of shit, fuck off"

I liked the original post a little bit, there's a least some attempt at making sense although as we have pointed out some of it was pretty inaccurate. I meet a lot of rag fans as I now live on the south coast. I still have a season ticket and come to the Etihad for home games. The rags only watch in the pub and that's where some of he most silly ideas come from..Entitlement and alcohol and " istory" a bit like Liverpool. Old men in the pub banging on about the old days. We warned them but they wouldn't listen now they hold the idea when the oil money runs out . Dear oh dear eh.theyreclutching at straws forgetting were self financing now. I loved reading red cafe yesterday partly for fans of other teams who the rags took the piss out off or years. I'm glad they're in a mess I hope they never get back to their glory days. I don't think they will but who knows?City fans even with years of success will never be like them,we all remember Frank Clarke and division 2. Long post but let's tell the truth city are on a level the rags can't get to anymore.
