No mention that we had the game last Wednesday and on Saturday whilst Sunderland were resting and preparing, just the talk that we were lucky to get the points.

Missed the game as I was flying across but from reading the thread we had a poor game because:

a. We were off form.

b. The ref was shite.

c. Combination of both.

3 points in the bag, that's all that matters at this stage. Away from home, getting kicked to fuck, against a side scrapping for their lives? I'd take that, anyday.

C, but they also haven't played for 10 days or so and I think that told as the game went on. 3 points is all that matters

Didn't realise that, forgot it was a FA Cup weekend. Sounded like we started off well but then dropped our levels, probably a combination of tiredness on our behalf, them full of legs and the ref allowing them to run riot.

Cheers bud ;-)

losing Navas will not help with all these matches coming thick and fast.

luckily it was Sunderland today and not someone better. a well-earned 3 points on a cold, windy night.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

The most important thing outside the 3 points for me is the fact that we're keeping clean sheets again. It's taken a while but hart, otter and Demi are starting to look better, albeit against poor opposition.
Tracking back is overrated.

Apart from the odd shocker (which everybody has) I'm struggling to see this hopeless defence I keep hearing about on Soccer Saturday. Certainly when compared to others.

Replay showed that it wasn't a double save. Second one hit the post. Joe got down and had it covered anyway.

well he had another good save or 2 in the 2nd half. Otter also had a key block and goal line clearance

Yes one in each half.

A clean sheet is a clean sheet and always welcome, but in fairness we can thank Sunderland for not putting at least one past us.
