Unsold trafford

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Unsold trafford

Well well well. What goes around comes around my friends. Utd have not had the interest for their Europa league game so are shutting the top tier of the taggart stand.

Time to start poking some of those armchair sky remote rag wankers. I am sure we can get a rise out of a few. Facebook would be a good place to start fishing I think.

It's on the daily mail website if you want to look. Not putting the click bait here as can't be arsed.

Funny you should say that. That's what I used on my FB post too.

Thought they had to compulsory purchase tickets or they were revoked from going to the next PL fixture?

Funny, as only a day or two ago we had a rag come on here and say what a massive club was and what the criteria was for this and he explained to us all that the rags were a massive club because of all the fans they had and always sold out the ground and were going to increase capacity to 95000 to cope with the demand. Now they can't fill the ground for one of those "special European nights" the club are so famous for.

Lol

In fairness, there might not be any flights from Malaysia that night.

I assume the Mirror will publish a picture of the empty stand?

They will, but alongside the one they published at Maine Road from the auto windscreens game years ago. Editorial balance.

I would doubt that. Even for a club as amazing currently blinkered as united, I cannot see them closing the entire stand seeing as that's the stand the cameras face. I would expect the bottom tier to largely be full, a smattering in the second tier but the top tier closed off. Crowd management and all that.

A club that fully backed its fans having a years since trophy banner for their city rivals is surely not stupid enough to show an entire 25,000 seater camera facing stand completely empty in a major European cup competition. Surely?
