Trophy Priorities?

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Apparently the police objected to Saturday because Fulham are playing at home then. Friday evening would have been fair in the circumstances. Now it's literally impossible to expect City to field a strong side. Total stitch up.

I'd take them in order. We're in a final so that's a chance to prove.

FA Cup clashes with CL and as the latter is the pinacle, I'd forsake the domestic game for this one. Just to boo in the final.

Premier league, at the moment, is always a priority; only to be foresaken for a CL final.

Pellegrini says he'll play kids if the FA insists on Sunday for the Chelsea match. CL comes first.

has the game been confirmed as a Sunday? I dont blame him, however, we have more chance of the FA than the CL, so its misplaced loyalty IMO, but no doubt that comes from pressure from above.

If we get to the CL quarter finals it means precious coefficient points. Also the whole logic of the takeover was to make us a major European force. That's why players like Aguero joined us and it's why we're getting Pep. The Club doesn't want to be Arsenal whose challenge is just to qualify for the CL but a major force in the later stages of the competition year after year. The CL is miles more important than the FA Cup against that background. We can't have it both ways; the Club's benefited hugely from the takeover and we have to accept and support the overall strategy which goes with that.

FA Cup just became an irrelevance thanks to the BBC. If they can't beat us they stitch us up.

Agree with most on here.

PL for me, is always the priority. True test of a season long battle.

At this stage of the season the League cup comes second. We are in the final and it will be won or lost on the day so we may as well give it all we have.

My personal preference would be to then prioritise the FA cup over the CL. I fully understand the reasons for the club to prioritise the CL and get why they would want success there. But, the CL is over two legs with the second tie at the Etihad. Thus we can afford a scoring loss in Kiev to still stand a good chance of progression. Therefore I would be happy to put a decent side out v Chelsea in the cup in order to try and win the game at Stamford Bridge. We would then be in the quarters and a good chance of another Wembley date.

That said I would happily take any two of four pots on offer

Priorities:

1. LC as we are in the final
2. CL this is pathetic I know but just to feel the pain from the arrogant, entitled, abusive evil (ex)empires of MUFC and LFC
3. PL I think its one or the other between this and the PL. At the moment we cannot do both
I actually think we can win the CL - if our key players get and stay fit
4. FA cup - thanks BBC
