Open Letter To Mark Clattenburg

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Wonder what the other refs make of him. After all, he is doing a very good in bringing the profession into disrepute when actually there are probably lots of good refs out there who do a great job week in week out.

I reckon he isn't well liked and that other referees secretly hope he gets his commupence.

I'm saying that the week before interviewing him I asked friends who supported those clubs what I should ask him. They all thought that he gave them a rough ride. Some brought up examples of games where Clattenberg made a big decision that went against them.

Dubbers, you aren't the only one with a conspiracy theory mate. They're out to get other clubs too.

Job done, have the weekend off.

Seriously, has he been dropped because of the game or the fact that he was booked in for us again whilst being looked at for possible conflicts of interest?

It is where the problem lies. And it's why it keeps coming back to "football media" as the thread is called on here.

Because I posted so much in the likes of those threads, I had people on here telling me that I should "just ignore those articles if they annoy you".

And "why get wound up by tabloid garbage" etc.

These "journalists" have the opportunity to highlight what is wrong and help change it for the better. Instead they either choose to ignore it, or try to justify it.

Either they like it the way it is or they are scared they'll lose their job, like dazby was.

You'll probably find that those who try to eradicate your post by virtue of a simple move are actually getting wound up because you are changing opinion?

I do wonder if people know about the likes of Mike Riley and his Rag ways. How did he get the job from the cast of thousands? What about Kieth Hackett publically denouncing him or the likes of Halsey not taking the pay-off and getting close to the bone with his statements?

We have had shit calls for more games than not this season, which are usually saved for the fodder. Yet these ref's are just allowed to carry on regardless. Who is controlling them?

Having caught up with this thread and finding out only through it that the CUNT has been axed this weekend I googled it.... only the mirror and express have this story which I found odd. Further visits to the beeb and the other most read UK sports page and nothing, even if you do a search still nowt.

You can get stories on "players that managers love to sign" the picture is of warnock..... or days old article about shrek being injured.

So it would appear that by and large it's being swept under the carpet by mainstream media, which if reported correctly would make them question the 6 points given to spuds this season at our expense.

Remind me, how many points off the top of the league are we?

That's all well and good. So he's been corrupt in other matches.

And I don't have a "theory". I have video evidence.

It has taken 9 yrs for Sep and Plattini to feel the heat. Clever but caught ! If in a similar time a ref any ref gets his medicine would anyone say, I never saw that coming ?

You nearly feel sorry for Aresnal there.

How Riley wasn't struck off after that defies belief. When was it, a decade ago? The more things change, the more they stay the same

That video is unbelievable. Arsenal could never have won that game.

I think that was the game in which Arsenal's Invincible team finally lost a game. They haven't won the league since, if so.

It was an absolute travesty for Arsenal's unbeaten record mate, I'd honestly never seen anything as blatant as that before, however in the years since, I think it has become commonplace.

The Chelsea vs Rags game where the Rags needed a helping hand with 2 sendings off is up there with this one. Just for context, the game was his first one back 'for' ferguson' after Clattenburg's 1 year absence from reffing united games after we beat them 1-6. In advance of that game I even predicted that with
Clattenburg's form for terrible decisions in favour of united after a long absence, the defining point of the game would be a poor decision from him,

For me to see his recent pattern of behavior and predict that, then for it to play out in front of the nation exactly as I predicted shows just how fucking blatant some of this shit is. You really don't have to be a rocket scientist to see the patterns

If you knew what you could and couldn't ask him, why did you ask what questions people wanted to ask him? I'm just curious on this. You must have known with his reputation the kind of answers you were going to get. Rightly or wrongly, it came across as a possibility to ask him some serious stuff and from what you have said afterwards it was never going to be anything of the kind.

No, you don't have to be a rocket scientist mate, yet there are still fuckwits on this very board that think it is normal.

Not seen that video for a while and it goes to show how the referees can, and do control matches. I was told a while back how referees are given instruction how to officiate the games, dependant on the teams, ie. If it was a Stoke team, don't give immediate yellows, let it go. And you can see how it can affect games, allowing other teams to get a kicking. I remember games where the likes of Stoke, and the Rags, taking turns to kick the fuck out of SWP. But why weren't they sanctioned for it? Well, that video goes someway to answer the question.

And then Riley gets the top job. How does a snivelling little cunt get that job unless he is pliable to the will of the money men?
