Sorry Mase. He has been for years. Certainly all of this season.

He's not good enough for us correct. Is he better than Clichy and does he offer us more than Clichy - 100% yes.

I don't agree with that Mase, I think in general the team has better balance when Clichy plays.

That's fine mate, can you give examples though? I can. Look at the first five matches of this season. Kolarov offered far more during those matches than Clichy has throughout his career at City.

Not specific examples as such, I believe he's a better footballer, he's more comfortable in possession, better passer of a ball, better tactical awareness, offers his team mates better protection mainly because of his pace and his reading and interceptions of the ball when opposition try to switch sides is impressive.

All that said, I do believe he's not got enough to hold down a place with us anymore, Guardiola's full backs are all high energy and quality in attack as well as competent defenders. Wouldn't be surprised to see him shipped out in summer.

As for Kolarov, his qualities are obvious, he has a rocket of a left foot which is great for set pieces and when he gets time and space to deliver in open play. He's also decent defending set pieces as he's got good physical presence and he's half decent in the air. I do get the impression he's popular in the dressing room which is good for morale BUT I think he's a one dimensional player making him easy to defend against, he has no right foot so often slows us down in our build up play, he's sluggish so is quite often behind the play going forward and struggles to recover his position when we're caught on the break.

I agree with you that he was very good in the opening games of the season but I don't recall being impressed with him when the team have struggled ever throughout his time with us.

To sum up, I'd be shocked if he's still with us come August, he just doesn't cut it.

Mase, on a serious note mate they showed a compilation of goals against us this season and every one had kolorov in shot (it was either his man, or from his side). I'd love to dig out facts to see goals conceded clichy on the pitch vs. kolorov.

Clichy was also going mental when we equalised today. I feel like Kolorov is a bell end to top off his shitness. 1) he thinks hes hard but has no leadership qualities at all (yet gets the armband obvious zaba) and 2) he plays with no passion. Hes the type that shouts at others for messing up then jogs back while his man scores.

Why I said kolarov has a player inside him is because he is never and never has been a left back. Too late for him now, but if some cunt had noticed it when he was young he could've been one of the best left winger in the world, somebody like bale or robben. The man has pace, especially in full flight and he's got a ridiculous left foot on him.

Instead we've got a man playing left back with untapped attacking qualities and barely a defensive braincell in his head. That's why I find him so frustrating, he's a square peg in a round hole.

2 predictions that would improve Lawro's and Degenerate's ratio.

1) Arsenal will get a home tie.
2) Rags tie will be on tv.

Yes we'd have had PL teams away in every round. No luck whatsoever which is in keeping with the rest of the season. (Sterling v Everton apart)

Yes it is quite disturbing isn't it ? Arse always at home .

City fans travel to away ties scheduled at the most inconvenient , late sunday afternoon.

Still i wonder if LVG will get the same treatment Big Malc got at Shrewsbury tonight ?

The M****r just staying true to form being the cunts that they are.

The problem I have is with that Fabregas cunt comparing their situation with ours, a home game on a Saturday followed by an hour flight to Paris midweek followed by another home game the next weekend with an almost fully fit squad.

The whole point that has been missed by the media as per usual is that its not about playing the game and then another 3 days later that is only one factor it was about the journey to get to the game, Im not sure if we travelled yesterday but even if we didn't a long flight after a game or even the day after is not good no matter what jet they are flying in (Shearer). We all know that if we hadn't had all the injuries the kids wouldn't have played. However we are just big bad City ruining football by never giving the kids a chance, oh wait a minute now we are big bad city ruining the FA cup,

I'd rather keep Kolarov as back up than Clichy and get a new LB in the medium term. We have bigger priorities this summer.

Kolarov as a sub can change a game in his own little way, Clichy cannot. I like his hard bastard approach. He also seems like a good professional, he doesn't winge much and he's been with us through the good times, seasoned pro.

As usual, with our 2 players in each position if you put them both together you'd have a worldy.

Kolarov to fill in for cup games and against shitty gritty teams. In my opinion a new left back is needed, although probably not as much as a right back!

Kolarov does not have real pace at all and no trickery in him eitehr so to have Bale and Robben in the same sentence is just crazy. Plus he has a very limited first touch and awareness so unless you are playing against rubbish he wouldn't be any good as a left winger/wide left player.

I don't get the constant raving about his left foot. He scores the odd free kick and puts in some decent crosses sometimes but he's nowhere near consistent enough with the quality to justify the hype.
