Just started watching it isn't looking good. How's the first half been like?
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Who is our number 8. Either his legs have gone for this game or he's not having a good game. Either way wish we would get someone else in the midfield

Played well enough, had enough opportunities in that second half to get the equaliser, Faupala made a big difference when he came on.

I thought we gave them a battering in the second half. We got caught throwing men forward for the equaliser for their 3rd.

Angelino needs to find his spark again. He was poor today.

No doubt in the 2nd half Madrid were worried. They were piling everyone back and looking a bit desperate.

Overall though we just missed out in a few areas. Defensively and that very much includes the midfield tracking back and central defensive midfield I thought we were lacking. It was too easy for Madrid to either just run at us or play simple one twos and we were in real trouble. I am not concerned about the last goal as we were going for it but the first two saw players not alive enough to what was going on.

In significant parts of the game we lookeed quite good, passing the ball around, finding space etc but there were a few too many bad touches/bad control which gave the ball away. Small technical failings but the quality of the first touch does make such a massive difference.

Then up front we did create things but again maybe that final bit of quality wasn't there.Their keeper made a few decent saves but we definitely had chances to have won the game.
