Didn't know about this. Interesting that they may now get money after reading some comments from them about it during our semi final tie!

One day all these clowns will realise that it's always been about money.

I'll be interested to see how this pan out, seems the new guy has only bought 49.9%, so will anything change?

Typical Kenwright though, he's only sold 49.9%. In which case it'll make fuck all difference

I imagine it depends how much the club was valued at. I'm sure Kenwright won't lose out. I like the comment that the new guy has 'true blue spirit'.

Difference is their billionaire grew up supporting Everton and will only spend money on growing their team organically, allowing them to develop more players like Stones and Lukaku who came through their ranks.

Bunch of two faced hypocrites. Was I jealous of Chelsea when we were skint? Absolutely. But I didn't hate them for it and pretend I wouldn't want some foreign investment.

From what I can make out this sounds more like a money-laundering scheme than a take-over.

Kenwright wanted investment - I bet the guy(s) who invested get the rest of the ownership when he walks away or passes away (maybe for an agreed sum).

Not too dissimilar from the set up at Forest then. I and a lot of Forest fans are convinced the owner is in it purely for financial gain, either to launder money or a tax dodge.

I was convinced Frank was using City for the same reason.

Gone are the days of a local businessman bring chairman. It's all the the PL money now. Expect a number of championship clubs to be taken over in the next couple of years as owners will see the AtZv money on offer and consider it worth a punt. The likes of Wednesday, Derby, Forest, Villa even, Boro, Brentford, Ipswich etc, who are knocking on the PL door could make someone a lot of money if they are promoted

Well this "true blue" is a rag fan and was a partner with Usmanov in red and white holdings who have shares in Arsenal.
