Sad part is Liverpool didn't play very well
Not sure if we will see both Aguero and Silva here next season. Think we will look for more dynamic players in the middle. Guardiola may "carry" a player such as Aguero but no team can carry three or hour played every game who don't tackle.

Aguero is most definitely staying. Possible that Silva could go, maybe after next season though

End of an era really. We've got quite an old squad and we're being turned over by shiter but younger teams. Teams who aren't afraid to run a bit. Whereas all we've seen the past 3 years is a slow deterioration in our movement on and off the ball.

We need new full backs, a new central midfield and somebody decent to partner aguero.

When you think about it, none of our lads are bad. Even bony. But they've all lost their zip. Pep likes to press but we've seen our lot haven't been up to that for 2 seasons now. A proper overhaul needs doing, and we need to do that by bringing in quality youth.

We've started well with kev and raheem, but we need more. We should be aiming to sign nobody older than 26 this coming summer.

As much as I'm pissed off with this season, we've gained a cup. That's 5 trophies in what, 6 years? That's 5 pots in my entire life. This group has given me a hell of a ride and the first league title is still the best moment in my life and modern football, and our lot gave us that. So things are fading away, or burning out, but what a fucking ride it's been.

I am in shock at that performance...probably the worst for many many months and we learned nothing from the Ethihad debacle against them absolutely nothing...shocking truly shocking !!

one big issue with that is that sterling goes missing when hes needed and shits himself against 9/10 players! not the character I want our team built on!

From announcing sterling would start at the press conference thought the manager was poor. He basically said the booing won't effect him. He gets a strong tackle in first min and then he is rattled and crowd on his back and he went into a shell. After Sunday he should have been taken out of side.

Why the fuck was Garcia not worth a place on bench ? Put in a good performance at Chelsea in weakened side , why big see what he can do with some more regular first team players but hey fuck it why would you pick some youth players.

Bony coming on ahead of Kelechi just shows players in form not picked if bigger name player available. Not saying Kelechi played well when came on but he was thrown on out of position.
Can't find one positive from that performance.

Was Fernandinho injured ? If not why take ur best player of this season out and play more players out of position.

Agreed. But he's still a kid and he will be the bollocks. He just needs some good coaching and I don't think he'll get what he needs from pellers. I don't know enough about pep's methods away from the match, but I hope he can instill a world class bastard of an attitude in him. Look at bale, he was a pube's width from being punted at spuds. Then for whatever reason he decided to buck his ideas up, and become the best he can be. That's what raheem needs.

Agree. Lets hope he can. Sterling strikes me as more of a Balotelli than a Bale/Ronaldo attitude wise though. Millionaire at 21. Got the Mansion etc etc

Agreed. As Pellers said, the top players can handle these situations......that doesn't include Sterling.

I agree. All good things come to an end. This teams cycle is coming to it's conclusion, many many thanks for the memories but it is time for a quite large squad overhaul. It is imperative we finish top 4 or we may not get the standard of players required. Pep is good but not a magician

Interesting to see Silva playing defensive midfield for part of the second half. Just about says it all.

My fear is were leaving pep one hell of a job to do and it's going to take him time to sort this squad out.
This season is over now. Next season will be a transitional season.

I'm really hoping you are right and that Raheem was a Pep signing. If he is I really hope Pep can turn him into a footballer because overall the guy hasn't impressed me. I hope the same for KDB. I hope Pep was aware and they were part of a list approved by him, if that's not too far fetched.

A reasonable argument. How many successful signings since he arrived? KDB could be, although we need a manager who can work out where he fits rather than just playing him regardless
