Made no sense, probably our best player all season. Other than an injury no explanation. Maybe he like the rest of the players was tired after playing Sunday and not as fresh as the opposition as the manager claimed after the game.

Yes Liverpool camer out of the blocks chasing and harrying and we were not really at the races bar some decent ball winning in midfield by the 2 Refns but they hadn't really caused us too much trouble at the back bar an occasion when the lino forgot to put his flag up.
Just before they scored I reflected in how poor we were going forward but it felt like one of those games we could nick one nil with a late goal. As soon as Joe lay down and let that goal in they got renewed energy, the crowd woke up and we capitulated. Our biggest weakness for me was that Yaya was missing in the middle and we had nobody to be even close to dictating the game and our so called best 2 players in Silva and Aguero were both having mares.
Sterling going off for Bony was a joke as it made us compete even less and just added a third player having a mare and he was up front out of the way anyway.
All a great shame as Liverpool , apart from the pressing and energy they had were not that good.

I could see the logic in Bony coming on because we needed a physical presence in the centre to put it up to Can but I think he replaced the wrong man. I would've hooked Silva and played Bony as a support for Aguero.

There is nothing logical about putting on that fuckign lump of shite anywhere on the pitch at any one time.

I blame Pellegrini for this one, whereas I blamed the players for the last. His subs were the wrong ones. Simple.
The funny thing is all the pundits saying Liverpool were "incredible from start to finish". They weren't. I could the feel the game very much heading in our favour, especially during those multiple "ole's". There was only one team going to score and it didn't look like Liverpool to me. Nor did it to Michael Owen, who kept commenting on how sturdy we looked at the back.
Then we got hit with a poxy sucker punch and we folded. Our biggest problem this season is that we find it really difficult to recover, when we get hit on the break early, especially when it's a sucker punch.
That's going to change next season. That's for sure.
But from now until then, we better get out of the blocks early and put everything into scoring first in our remaining games. Sounds obvious, but we can't play the possession game when we don't have the players who can/will press every ball.
