Lawro and Merson Predict.............

Postby dave watson's perm » Fri Mar 04, 2016 12:36 pm

Here we are again with another instalment of fuckwittery from Nostradamus and Mystic Meg

Lawro's opponent for this weekend's Premier League fixtures is American hip hop artist Fatman Scoop, who has been taking part in Sport Relief's Battle of the Five-A-Sides. During the match, Fatman Scoop had a few words to say about one game in particular this weekend. He told BBC Sport: "Arsenal are going to get beaten so bad, it's going to be disgusting."

First up Lawro says:

I feel sorry for Aston Villa manager Remi Garde because it is not his fault they are where they are in the table - he did not buy a single player in January.

Manchester City are very inconsistent at the moment but it would take an exceptionally bad performance from them to drop any more points on Saturday.

Lawro predicts: City 3 Villa 0

That wise old sage over at S**sports comes up with:

Man City have got to bounce back as they were an absolute joke against Liverpool - they are playing for the top four and it is unbelievable how they capitulated. They should not be getting beaten 3-0 with the amount of talent they have got on the pitch.

So I expect them to bounce back and if they could have played anyone on Saturday, then it would have been Villa. City will roll them over.

If I am being honest, with their squad City should walk the league. Put it this way - they should not be this many points behind Leicester.

Merse predicts: City 4 Villa 0

To be honest even we shouldn't fail to score against this lot and it could be one of those 9 or 10 nil games.

Where did he tip us to finish at the start of the season does anyone recall? Doubt he said at the time we should walk the league

Take a scruffy 1-0 to be honest. This is a freebie for Villa given they are expected to be thrashed. They will have no pressure and as such play with no constraints. If they get beaten, they are no worse off than expected. Remember we only got a draw at their place.
