The decision to fuck the FA cup off now looks silly

Not really, the win in Kiev gives us a great chance to show our wares. The FA themselves can take the blame for us not being able to compete.

But the reasoning was to prolong both the PL and the CL. Seeing as how we have now given up the PL without so much as a bit of fight, had we beaten Chelsea we would have had a great chance of the FA cup as well. Could understand it if we were still in the PL. That's all

But it had nothing to do with the PL, the next game was CL and that's where all our efforts have been placed. Also, we would've probably been drawn against Everton which I don't think we'd have beaten anyway, not in this form.

The next round of the FA Cup also clashes with the CL. Pellers stated very early on that you cannot fight on all fronts and that the FA Cup would come secondary.
