I think we should not use the term TEAM when we speak about those players.

That being said, third game in a row without a goal conceided.

Second game in a row without scoring.

BT doing their best to denigrate the achievement of progressing.

But for a bit of bad luck we could have won the game. Navas hit the post and there were a couple of other close attacks. Got to be happy to go through and the clean sheet.

Let's worry about the opponents for the next round when we play them

But 3 without conceiding: Villa, Norwich, this. 3 games.

Crap game, I'm glad I decided to save some cash by not buying the CL ticket option. None of that will matter when the next round draw is made though.

I can't see the Derby being anymore exciting, good thing the rags are so utterly bobbins.

I'll go with this tonight. Although I want to slate Pellers I can't because 'Job done'.

I can't stand the CL but it's a big thing to our custodians, and who can blame them. A bit unlucky tonight, lost our decent CB partnership so early, but the two who stepped in did well; surprisingly.

We've been gash for a while, this game, with Rags coming up, wasn't a game we needed 100%.

Saying that, I am worried now.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

No surprise we didn't score. You only had to see the team sheet to know we weren't going to.

I'm actually depressed about the rest of the season having watched that. And taking into count the injuries. Cunts.

Kompany for at least a month which basically pretty well means the season. Otamendi may be ok for the derby.

As a spectacle or as entertainment it wasn't very good obviously but as a professional performance it was sound. We were superb away in Kiev and the only way it could go wrong was if we wnet for an all out attacking approach making it an open game. Thankfully we didn't go for that and played Yaya in a role where he didn't have to defend and as a result we looked reasonably solid in mdefence and central midfield.

Surely we are not going to rip into City after a professional performance where we were never in trouble. Let the media do that as they surely will even tho Athletico Madrid seem to be getting praise for getthing through after nil nil over 2 legs!

And well played Fernando

If a team needs to see out a tie and just achieve a 0-0 they should do it with some class and quality. Hard to see much class or quality tonight.

First half was as bad as any of our recent performances Doug.
We got to grips and just saw it out comfortably in the second half.
But to be honest Doug it was as much to do with Kiev being totally ambitionless and pretty inept.
The trouble with the night really and don't get me wrong I'm pleased we are through, is that, we lost more in the injuries and performance, than we gained. That's just my opinion and I know not everyone will agree. But I don't see us winning this and I think the Prem league position may suffer badly with Kompany gone. Not worth the elation of a last eight.

However if we get a decent draw and I think we could get to the semis, who knows, I may get my mojo back.

I disagree. Pellegrini should be hung, drawn and quartered for how shit he's been.
