I was 10 in 74 and he was Box Office, MY first Hero. Our own Txiki and Pep played in his Barca Dream team. RIP

And, he was 10 cm higher than Messi and could still turn around on a dime. And, he smoked like a chimney. And, the pitches were god awful.
Impressive to say the least. Not the smoking mind, but that he smoked and did all that he did.

That was some quality Dutch side at the '74 World Cup with plenty of players that stood out. Neeskens, Krol, Rensenbrink etc but Cruyff had that extra bit of quality that makes good players great. A very sad loss but he certainly left his mark on football.
