Did anyone see what was going on with the inbred stoke fans. There seemed to be a kickoff of some sort but it was directly below me so I couldn't see what was going on.

Two big calls for Pellegrini. Does he play Kompany ahead of Otamendi on Tuesday? Arguably Vinny needed match sharpness today and he didn't get it. Is it best to rely on the Otter given that fact. Second big call is what to do about Yaya. Obviously if he's injured the decision is taken but since he looked like he was going to play the 90 it seems as though he wasn't going to play anyway. Maybe Yaya would rather be 'injured' than, as Seluk would no doubt like to see it, disrespected. If fit he clearly belongs on the bench rather than being out of the 18. I hope to God Clichy and Sagna are fit because the last thing we want is giving Ronaldo free kicks in dangerous areas. That's a worry with the Otter who's inclined to dive in as well as with Zabaleta and Kolarov. 0-0 isn't bad although we really want a win. The main thing though is no away goals if we can manage it. I fancy us to score away if we play like we did against Chelsea.

It seems Hughes is a specialist in creating animosity and infighting between his own club's fans.

Well Ota is a lot better than Mangala but Kompany was utter dross the other day so I know what I'd do. Ota and the Mangler

I can't agree that Otamendi is better than Mangala. For me, he's been rubbish since he joined. His first instinct is to dive in to make a tackle and that is not acceptable for any defender, never mind one playing for a Champions League side. However, he was much better today and only made 1 significant fuck up. I thought today was his best game for us since he joined.

Demichelis needed almost a full season to start putting in some good performances and Mangala has largely played well this season, which was not the case last year. So hopefully Otamendi improves next season.

On Tuesday we should stick with Otamendi and Mangala. They've been much improved together in recent weeks and Kompany was awful against Newcastle. It would be a risk to make big changes to the centre back pairing ahead of such an important game.

I think I agree. For what it's worth Pellegrini says both Fernandinho and Kompany are fir for Tuesday. Fernando had a slight knock but should be fine and not sure about Yaya.

Something I didn't see myself saying a couple of months back, but I don't think Vinny should be played in the home semi-final. Stick with the team that beat PSG and hope the improvement in them continues, because I do think they will need to up it again over the two legs.
But there is reason to be hopeful. They do look like there are understandings growing between players throughout the team.

Two big performances and we're there. C'mon City.

Great win , great to see the goals flowing again , but ............

the big question is WHY hasn't Pellegrini started with Nacho more often rather than giving waste of space Bony game time ?????

Superb performance from the kid , but we all knew he could reach todays level if given the chance didn't we .
Not really here

I dont really like Otta but seeing as he has more experience than anyone else in our team with regards playing against RM , then he should be an automatic starter.......Kompany was fuckign woefull against Newcastle and I think it will be a mega mistake playing him from the off against RM.

I hope he doesn't play Kompany. As already mentioned on here, Otter and Mangler have 3 clean sheets to their names in their last 3 starts together.

Generally thought the game yesterday was little more than a walk in the park, thankfully. Ian looks every bit a top-notch striker and hope he gets the chance to be second choice behind Kun next season.

Finally got home from the game, a day later than expected. Very happy with 3 points but it's not often you get rewarded with a 4-0 victory with a sloppy performance. Great to see Nacho doing his stuff. I hope MP now realises he is a much better option than Bony.

The Otter is quite awful, though I have to say he is a very confident awful, never looks fazed which is something. I think Pellers will watch how they train but I suspect he is veering towards Kompany. Don't wanna show this lot too much respect, we'll get plenty of chances.

As to why the stoke fans were fighting, we'd all be kicking each other if we had someone as fat as Charlie Adam trundle on and pretend to play in a premiership game, Never seen anything like it in 60 years of watching. His thighs were rubbing together like those monsters you see trying to walk round Florida theme parks
