Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by Alex Sapphire » Wed Jan 13, 2010 10:31 am
They announced in the ground a very special offer to fly City fans from around the globe to COMS for the derby in April.
COMPIt is open to overseas blues (to nominate themselves) or friends and family to put in a case for their far off Blue buddies/kin.
To the point. Should we have a bit of a campaign to get an MCF.netter over?
If time allows we could have a short comp to choose our nominee, then put in a concerted effort to get them entered with lots of Blue support (many signatories instead of one or two).
What do you think Lads?
Edited...If you're an overseas blue who is free to travel to UK for derby day in April please reply with a sob story about why we should support your entry
Edit 2: nominations please...

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

Sounds good...there are quite a few worthy candidates on here
Would be nice if we got someone over who had never been to COMS before...I am sure there are a handful?

I refer you to the competition rules

so let's use this thread to find out who's available and would like to be entered by MCF.net.
Please reply if you're overseas and available to come to COMS for the April derby.
In less than 25 words...

I hate Australians so that eliminates Dazby, Slim, PBL and any of the other Aboriginal-slaughterers.
I vote for Kuwait, if he's still alive.
Or you could vote for me, seeing as snow fucked up my little trip to Manc last week. I should be over round that time anyway actually, will just need a ticket ;-)

so we could put up a good case for each of them:
Carl: Manc lad, long way from home, served his country, been virtual pals for years, needs a keyboard where caps lock isnt stuck.
Slim: another manc, family ties, homecoming, new nephew or niece, nearky lost in a hideous ceiling collapse
Dazby: Oz but blue. always hospitable to his many visitors from here, want to see if he really does look like Shaggy
I hope you're all going to enter yourselves, but would an entry (or 3 ) from the Board carry more weight?

Of course I would have to say MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I´ve got the fuclin hairloss to prove my worthiness ;) Anyway I´d have to get to Marrakesh or summat as my nearest Etihad airport so it´s hardly worth it when I can get Easyjet or Cryanair for next to nowt
I think we should nominate Carl and Daz to go together - now that would be worth seeing on the O.S. ;0)

I'd like to nominate myself:
I go to every game possible, irrespective of who we're playing.
I'm the only member of my family not to have been to a Derby yet.
It would be cheaper for them to send me via Eurostar than flying, thus adding a post-modernist slant to the competition.
