if/when he goes it will be almost as heartbreaking as SWP's departure. A proper warrior and legend.

Better this way rather than watch him decline.

Heart says it's a bad day and we are all sad. A superb ambassador for our club.
Head says it is time and wish him all the very best at his new club

I'll be genuinely heartbroken when/if Zaba leaves, and I haven't been upset when a player left since maybe Tiatto. SWP I was gutted he was leaving us but thought he was moving on to win things.
But Zaba...I wanted him to retire with us. He literally bled for us.

Zabba is the only player to whom I feel a genuine attachment. Sorry to see him go but these things are inevitable. I wish him well for the future wherever it lies.

I agree with this. That said he's an absolute legend and should have a job waiting for him at City the day he retires, should he want to move back to Manchester.

Another strand is cut in my attachment to the club, one of very few players who it felt was one of us. I find it hard to maintain commitment when so few players have a link to the fans.
I love my club (not the corporate brand) and hope that more players that make me feel attached will with come through the Academy in years to come as I see few coming through the current transfer policies/decisions and hope Pep will move more decisions in the direction of the Academy.
It may be a few years before we see a player with the commitment and passion of Zaba but the time had come for him to move on with our thanks
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)

This one will hurt. Really don't want him to leave. I know he's not the player he once was, but surely he's still useful and must be brilliant to have at training. Hope all deals for him fall through personally and he retires with us.
Tracking back is overrated.

Really gutted as he one of the remaining players that actually give a fuck about their own and the teams performance, put all he had into the game and that's why even when he's off form 99% of the fans would cut him slack.

He's been linked to at least three Italian clubs quite recently so I think there's something to him leaving us, which will be a sad day indeed if confirmed.
