The German Sterling. Very talented, but also still very raw.

If Sane signs looks like Navas will be leaving. One those missing from training pics recently along with Zabba. Being there though, like Yaya, Kolarov and Bony, doesn't mean they are not offsky as well.

MEN is losing credibility on these (if they had any). That's about the 17th time they've reported these 2 signings.

Hmm.

Benatia is in Turin taking the medical for Juventus. He comes there as a starter with Chielini, Barzagli and Bonucci, not as a backup, so the last one might actually be leaving.

Looks like Melbourne are replacing Mooy with Tim Cahill. I wonder how long they've had him lined up.

Totally right.
Went to an event (a good few years ago) to promote grassroots and he spends 10 minutes asking about the England manager.

To be honest he's like one of the kids on Bluemoon. Come to think of it that's where he probably gets his stories.

Ah yes - 'why isn't Flood playing'? 'Play Willo, give the kids a chance' etc etc etc

Jeez John, you're like a broken record mate.

Got his chance, didn't make the grade but at least he got his chance, that's all people are asking for of our young 'uns.

So therefore the kids that people are asking to be given a chance now are also crap?

No mate. My point is that I trust in people like Mancini, Pellegrini , Txiki, umpteen youth and senior coaches who see these people every day (when not on loan) for some years.

The usual argument is something like 'why the fuck isn't he playing so and so? Pelle/Mancini/Txiki is an idiot', usually from people who have never seen such players play.

Nowadays someone needs to be really good - I mean REALLY - to even get a game for us. Therefore the chances are much lower. Nacho man is clearly good, was given chances because of it and is a clearly a suitable player at our level.

If all 11 were like him I'd be delighted. But they aren't and never will be. 'Developing' players who are getting well over 20 is just wishful thinking I'm afraid. John Terry, Shrek, Michael Owen came right through as teenagers because they had it, as does Ian nacho.

Am I so wrong in thinking players who aren't of top 4 level shouldn't play for us? Shouild we play people in one of our important competitions just because they are City kids, just to give them a chance, irrespective of ultimate ability?

Yet Pellers was proven wrong to persevere with Bony when there was a kid chomping at the bit sat on the bench.
