It depends on the question in hand. Suffer? Be on the brink? Go down to non league level? Very much so.

Become extinct? Never.

I want them to get relegated.

That'd be lovely. It would take a few seasons anyway which would be hilarious. Its as simple as this though - if they don't get a sugar daddy like ours and soon, they will slide down the table and clubs like Pool and them CAN'T finish outside the top four without major implications.

It s a very very interesting side story this season and I can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Too right I would.

Here's the 5 year plan:

2009/10
5th place finish, no silverware.

2010/11
14th place finish, Giggs retires, Berbatov sold for huge loss,Rooney and Vidic sold to Real against the purple nosed one's wishes, Baconface jacks , Ferdinand sold in January, Knocked out of Europa Cup early doors, year 2 without silver (Banner goes up at COMS)

2011/12
Relegated. Year 3 goes on the new banner. City win the Champs League.

2012/13
Mid table Championship finish. Darren Ferguson the only international left at the club. Administrators called in.City retain the Champs League.

2013/14
Huge points deduction from the previous season hinders them massively. Relegated to the third tier.

A simple no from me.

I believe that City are on the verge of success...and becoming a proper force in football again.

If the rags don't form part of the "viable competition" then....well...it will still feel amazing but it will take some of the gloss off for me.

I've always dreamt of City being champions (of England, or a cup, or...haha...of Europe) but part of that dream involves my team humbling United.

Quite simply, I want us (rather than creditors/an administrator) to castrate the munich cunts

Yes, but I want us to humble them along the way. Without that the rags will say it was only in the absence of them that we could succeed.

I couldn't give a fuck what happens to the rag bastards....as long as it takes a long time and is very unpleasant for them.

Apart from that, I think that some City fans place far too much emphasis on them, they seem to be making them more important than they really are.
The whole truth is that they are merely another one of 92 League clubs, who, if they fail will be replaced as any other club would be.
I want City to beat whoever are the top teams...that does not necessarily mean that I want the rags to be one of those top teams.

Fuck 'em...It's not like they were fully human like us is it?

I am with this pretty much - but I do not want baconface to retire - I want him to suffer all the way through

I would probably want to add to your chronology the point at which their local derby with (FC United is it?) takes place - you know that club that was created at the time of the takeover

Agreed. They were very nasty and unpleasant to us in the 90s, and I intend to be very nasty and unpleasant to them in the '10s'.

I want them smashed to smithereens, totally eradicated with the ground bulldozed and turned into a sewage works and Ferguson a quivering wreck cowering in a corner with his underpants on his head and a pencil stuck up each nostril shouting "wibble"

Fully agree with this. I want them to suffer and drop down the divisions and all that but them going under would be devastating as local rivalries are part and parcell of football.

Oh, and many of those rags would turn into "Blues". Does someone actually want that?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I would like them to become a mediocre prem team that is constantly in the relegation dogfight and gets condescended the fuck out of by other fans (you're our second club etc) whilst us blue wankers continually provoke them with banners and chants indicating their overall crapness compared to our superiority for decades upon decades. That would do me nicely.

Oh and I would like games against us to be referred to as "their cup final" by the press and pundits etc

I took the third option. If we're going to be challenging for titles, then going up against the Scum for them will make the whole thing so much sweeter if we win.

I know a bunch of rags who were very happy when we returned to the Prem. It added more spice to their season and I'm sure that many of us would feel the same if the boot was on the other foot.

EDIT: Reading that back, I guess I should have voted No. Which I just have done.

This^^^

I want 6 points a year from them in perpetuity.
And to be drawn against and beat them any time they get a half decent cup run.
And for them to be sponsored by the Pound Shop and wear Joma

Each to their own - but the part of your post:

"I know a bunch of rags who were very happy when we returned to the Prem. It added more spice to their season...."

Well don't we all know some of those - but I am sure that for the vast majority of us the comment was made in a wholly patronising way by the supercilious / arrogant twats - all the more reason to hate them for me - you must have been lucky that those few scum fans that are capable of objective / genuine football comment to all live in your area
