Not bothered like others. Should have had a penalty in the first half but didn't play well in general any more than the rags did. Maffeo showed we don't need two right backs. He can be our back up. Garcia very promising too. If we kept playing our best 11 we'd lose far more important matches.

Kompany apparently said he couldn't continue at half time. I assume he meant he was physically spent, not that he had a new injury.

He can't pass. It'll be a problem for him in this team. I hope it's just rustiness but I don't think it is.

Due respect mate, have you seen him play prior to this issue? As always, you try to push the issue and with the pressure of being in a second 11, it makes it even worse.

Vinnie may not be able to hack it now and they have a decision to make but, and this ain't a real but, one you can't Sim at Vinnie is he distribution and bottle.

Thought Maffeo, all things taken into consideration, was excellent. Garcia showed composure but not much else. The rest were more or less shite, as was the ref (ever since the QPR games he's been shameful). Short-term pain for long-term gain. Fucking pissed off, nonetheless.

I'm bothered and that was downtown Pep entirely.
The sequence of results can't be dismissed lightly. Particularly the Celtic one which could well cost us qualification in the Chumps.
Losing this tonight is a horrible result.
What price ending empty handed this season? Because we have been awful for weeks, with no end in sight.

Presumably this is a joke.
After being out for so long it was the correct thing to do.

Gotta love Martin Samuel.

'Say what you like about the suite life of Jose Mourinho, a lonely existence in a hotel room does give a man time to think. The Manchester United manager would have had many hours to contemplate how to beat his rivals and, ultimately, he came up with a cracking plan A. ‘I know,’ thought Mourinho. ‘I’ll send out my first team and let Pep Guardiola pick his reserves.’ So that’s what he did. And, unsurprisingly, through a lone Juan Mata goal, it worked'.

Few points from tonight

1 - I am fuming. We have lost against the rags. I don't give a fuck what context the game is in. It's a Derby v the scum and as such should be treated as a must win game where we give our all and the rags know that whatever the result, they have been in a war. This did not happen. DeGea didn't even have a save to make FFS

2 - Garcia had a good first half and last 15/20 minutes. The game slightly bypassed him for the first twenty minutes of the second half when the rags were on top. But he didn't hide and came back to exert his influence on the last 15/20 minutes. He has a good range of passing. I like the cut of his jib

3 - Maffeo had a solid if unspectacular game. Only lost his man once or twice and Rashford was kept fairly quiet. Didn't get forward too much however and didn't offer too much in attack. Maybe he had orders from Pep to keep Rashford quiet and not to bomb forward and lose his ground?

4 - The substitutions did not affect the game. Kompany off at half time probably didn't help but Kolarov added nothing. Sterling buzzed about but didn't sting and as for Kun, WTF was his position? Poor from Pep for me

5 - Sane was a waste of space. I honestly haven't seen anything in the few games he has played that warrants him playing for us. I really hope I have this very wrong but I wonder if we have a dud on our hands. Roberts at Celtic looks miles better. However, Sane is a young lad in a new country so I will give him plenty of slack, but not forever

6 - We need a third striker. Kun and Iheanacho are not going to score enough goals between them. I have my doubts whether Jesus will hit the ground running in January so I'd like us to get reinforcements in.

Beefy, I do think that he has always forced a performance out of himself when coming back from a long layoff. I think he did ok first half but again was trying to prove something with the long balls which even in his pomp, were never his strongest point.
He looks to me like a rabbit in the headlights when presented the ball on the edge of our box.
It's like he knows he is on his last chance here and it is on his mind.
I'm not the one who questioned his bottle, I don't think that's it. But if it's true he said he couldn't play on, it could just be that it is precautionary and the message to the interviewer got lost s bit in translating.
But it could also be we are looking at his final season here.
I hope he's just easing himself back and will build up confidence, but I'm not reading the body language that way. Hope I'm wrong.

Typical Sky cunt attitude to their fans. What more could expect tonight when we get Carragher and Chuckle2 punditting! Without a a City pundit it was quite obvious what the score was. With Dean giving every advantage to the Rags, and their manager having a go/writing down every challenge, this was one of those where you could little sympathy.

The Prem looks after their own, it makes commercial sense, so why not look after their bosses.

I'm sure you're aware that the PL don't actually run the league

Bang on the money.

Hilarious how much the rags were celebrating that. 2 shots on target at home against our second string lol

Didn't see the game , just the highlights now on the box. Shockingly bad refereeing for their two fouls before the goal.

Kompany played ok tonight , he has been out for a long time and his career is in the balance . He is still rusty but there are many positive signs coming out of his last performances he is getting there slowly and showing guts and leadership . Meanwhile Kolarov comes on at cb and we are a complete fucking shambles , I know who I would rather be playing !!!
