Barcelona Build Up Thread

Postby City64 » Sun Oct 30, 2016 10:23 am

Well yesterdays performance and result has put me in a better frame of mind lol . Sergio back to his world class best in the wink of an eye , Gundogan hitting top form and we actually kept a clean sheet ! what a difference a few days make in football eh ? For the very first time I think I feel we can get a result on Tuesday night versus Barcelona , biggest concern though is the keeper situation and building / passing out from the back with Bravo suspended .

Thoughts .....
Not really here

I'll take a score draw, but believe we have what it takes to get the win if we sort ourselves out.

If we win it will be a giant step for us. Get our usual performance against them ( how strange does that sound) and we could well be going out.
Despite the 0-4 score I thought the first game gave us a lot to feel encouraged by;
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

I'm looking forward to it. A couple of scoops in town first. I quite like these games as I don't get nervous before and during the game like I do for a league match. I think we have a genuine chance of getting something..

I'd be happy to see one of ours end a Barca players career if I'm honest. Cheating little twats. Hopefully Neymar.

Bit harsh that Mase. I'm all for an injury or two, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't wish a career ending injury on anyone. Even Shrek, though with him a broken leg probably would be the end of his career as he has a season left at the top at the very most.

I never seem able to fathom just how good Neymar really is.

Does he look good partly because he's playing alongside Messi and Suarez, which must give anyone loads of confidence and scoring opportunities, or is he genuinely world class ??

Would he, for instance, be able to carry a lesser team (maybe the Scum, for example) where he was the expensive talisman, where he would be more heavily marked by the opposition and where he had a poorer quality of player behind him to create the chances ??

I just don't know, but one thing which will be interesting is the defensive formation Pep will put out at home against Barca.

He's got to play Aguero but he also likes a populated midfield for the pressing aspect so, will he opt for a back three ??

It's going to be a fascinating 90+ minutes.

Never seeing Shrek play again would be a blessing for everyone. Not arsed about being harsh. Some of these bellends don't know how lucky they are and some of them deserve to never play the game again the way they act - Neymar celebrating in front of the Valencia fans last weekend and then getting hit with an object from the crowd was perfect.

A blessing for the rags. I'd like to see Shrek play for them for the remainder of his contract. They are a poorer outfit with him in it.

It'd be nice to actually get something out of a game against them. I'm hoping for at least a point.

hoping for 0-0. Sagna has to play too (i really hope he's fit). none of that back 3 crap or Fernando at RB.

Maybe he's Antony Kastrinakis and wants a more little attention from us

That would actually make sense.

Admitting that he's hoping we don't win is a new low, even for this troll.
