I don't pay any attention to smileys or emoticons or whatever they are called. Also, I never reply text messages having them. And only emails having them I reply to are my mums, mainly because she types caps lock on and obviously has little or no understanding of how to use smileys anyway. Hughes signed some excellent players, brought us on a European adventure and got us to a cup semi final.

Mancini has won some games in his first few weeks.

Thread is pointless so early into Mancini's City career because there is very little to judge him as far as we're concerned.

Mancini is the better manager for the long term but short term keeping Hughes was the right decision. Disrupting the management order halfway through a season is always a bad idea, I think Mancini will hit greater heights than Hughes but in terms of top 4 this season I think that was killed with the sacking of Hughes.

Sensible answer. I disagree that we lost the race for top 4 but I generally agree about sacking managers during the season. Upsets the balance and new manager has little time to instill his own ideas and get his own players in.

I do still prefer Mancini.
