A virtually impossible task but, eventually, went for Merlin.

He's a world class artist with the ball at his feet. Pity we couldn't vote for all of them though.

Well for me it was Kun - he was so up for it, seems to have found the extra yard of pace I thought he'd lost, hold up play and distribution of the highest quality and tracked back, just missing the goal his efforts deserved. I'm the only one to vote for him as I type which is slightly surprising, though I do accept there were many top performers tonight.

Still dives in too easily for me. I thought Stones was really impressive today and chose him.
But boy it was tough to pick him over Gundoman, Kev, even Fern1, Dave or Sterling! What a performance

He dived in for their goal and they went past him like he didn't exist.. Good overall game but needs to sort that shit out.

Yes Gundogan was top class but I had to go for Silva he was a joy to watch, he makes it look so easy.

I'd also agree with above mention of Otter, I was well impressed with him tonight. Superb performance especially in the second half.

I gave it to Kev, but am tempted to give it to Gundogan. Starting to hit form and the net, just when needed.

Our best player of all time. So graceful on the ball, he glides around the pitch and his weight of pass is perfect. His pressing tonight was relentless and I think that was the best I have ever seen him play. Pep has improved him, even at the ripe age of 30. David Silva olé!

That's a very ambitious claim, freshie but, crikey, I completely agree with you.

No doubt we'll have many great players in the years to come, but I doubt we'll ever get one greater than Merlin.

I gave it to our bargain of the decade for his very important goal, but in all honesty the entire midfield deserve it. KDB is our Messi at the moment, sorry to say but he has to be in the central mid role which will eventually move merlin out.

I've never seen Colin Bell play in the flesh. My dad has and he won't say Silva is better than Colin as he says it is hard to compare two entirely different generations and two different midfielders in terms of style but he agreed with me that Silva is the best in generations and up there with Colin Bell

Merlin is so good that you can move him out to the left as Pep did and he still played at the same level. I agree that KDB needs to play in the middle and should never be shunted out to the wing again. Silva is so good he can play anywhere in attacking midfield

Colin Bell was phenomenal and could do everything as well as being able to run all day. He could have played in a variety of positions and was outstanding at whatever he did.

However, because of his overall skill, ball control, movement, vision, footballing brain and pure, unadulterated artistry, Merlin just shades it for me....just, but it's very, very close call.

As your Dad says, two totally different midfielders.

Let”s give a shout to the Octopus also.

When Fern1 went out I was thinking the worst will come, but Fernando came in perfect and played very good in front of our back 4.

First I must say this was the best City game ever , We should won something like 9 2 . That was a most helpless Barcelona I ever saw , specialy in second half. What a pressing , so it was always about menager and who can mobilize this stars in to a team . My MOTM was Kevin , hes so freeking awesome and danger from every angle

All of 'em, but my choice was a sentimental one. Someone who has been in the team throughout our Champions League learning process for the last 5 or 6 seasons, suffered previously at the hands of Barca, and was back in the team after just one day of training. He's had a difficult season but I thought he was outstanding last night. Yes there were better performers but I don't care.

Zaba - my vote is for you my fellow bald brother.
