No I don't know what he means, I see some of our outfield players struggling to cope under the press, I don't see an issue with Bravo at all apart from the two obvious errors I mentioned.

Keep reading this as Brave or Wily. Hmmm... difficult choice.

At fault for Kevin's goal. Stepped the wrong way and then couldn't get back. Can you imagine the scenes if Bravo did that. While on the subject of keepers what was De Gea doing for that 2nd last night? Again Bravo does that he gets panned. De Gea seems to get a free ride. He was equally as bad as Hart at the Euros and nothing was said. I wonder why?

I reckon he was under more pressure though.

It's Bravo all the way. Looking forward to seeing Gunn play at some point though.

Perhaps but if a City keeper had conceded that DeBruyne free kick he'd be torn to shreds, as good a strike as it was.

Was thinking the same. Didn't want to bring it up because the mood on here was so good but the goalkeeping seemed a bit poor from me, regardless of the ball's trajectory.

Yess..........but he initially went to the right which allowed the goal. The free kick changed trajectory three times en route. After the initial commitment he did well just to get a touch.

ter stegen claims he was unsighted. isn't it his job not to be unsighted??

http://en.as.com/en/2016/11/03/football ... 76305.html

Barcelona keeper Marc-André ter Stegen has sought to explain why he didn't manage to stop the Manchester City man's effort on Tuesday.

3 November 2016 18:06h CET
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has said he was unable to keep out Manchester City's second goal on Tuesday because he was unsighted.

Ter Stegen has received criticism for letting in Kevin De Bruyne's second-half free-kick in Barça's 3-1 Champions League defeat at the Etihad Stadium.

"It was difficult to see the ball"
And speaking to Catalan radio, the German explained that the crowd of players in front of him impaired his view of the Belgian's 51st-minute strike.

"It was difficult to see the ball because there were a lot of people," he told RAC1.

"I wanted to know exactly where the ball was, but De Bruyne is a free-kick taker who's able to shoot from any angle and does it very well."

It is not the first time Ter Stegen has come under the microscope after conceding this term, with the keeper most notably committing a major gaffe at Celta Vigo.

In October's 4-3 LaLiga reverse in Galicia, the 24-year-old gifted Celta their fourth goal when his attempted pass-out rebounded off Pablo Hernández and in.

Off the boot it looked like it was going to curl to Stegen's right, hence the movement. Due to the lack of curl on the ball (it was flat in the air) it made two trajectory changes. Once Stegen made his initial move to the right he blew any chance at making the save. He couldn't get any power into hhs leap and did well to get a touch.

He didn't need to leap, he could simply have thrown his left hand at it.

Joe Hart.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I can see where both of yous are coming from, I'm gonna go with poor goalkeeping. But it was a good freekick as well.

Then I'll explain. He doesn't instill confidence his style of play is such that you feel he is capable of making punishable errors every game. Some mistakes result in conceding and a red card others he gets away with. If he's gonna play this way it needs to be more assured with fewer errors. A goalkeepers performance also has a significant effect on the rest of the defence. If they don't trust the keeper you have a problem.

The keeper. I have belief in the system we are top of the league and have just beaten barca. It's a system that comes with a degree of risk by playing out at the back, even barca showed that for our equaliser. But you need your keeper to play the system very well he is pivotal to its success and if he's on his metal consistently then it will settle the defence down and we will be better collectively. I'm not writing him off don't get me wrong but he's not yet doing consistently what he needs to do and my view is that right now he looks like he could drop a major bollock every game.

Fair enough mate, I do have some concerns about it too but mine lie more with the players he's passing to rather than Bravo himself.

Yes I understand that mate you could be right, there have been silly mistakes by others. The reality is something we can only surmise it could one or the other or a bit of both..

Watched that Pescara game where he kept clean sheet them being down to 9 men. Amazing.
