Manchester City vs United Predictions thread

Postby Blueboylewis » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:30 pm

So the time has nearly arrived. The time when city can pile misery on united and dump them out the cup but we must make a good start! Starting at home tomorrow night.

Ireland is back and i can see him starting and Robbie on the bench. Tevez and benjani upfront for me i think. And bellers and swp in midfield going with a 4-4-2 formation. now the only problem i am having is if Ireland does play and we have swp and bellers on the flanks in midfield and Benjani and tevez upfront then that leads the two spaces in midfield.

One should be taken up by De Jong surely and the other space? Well either Barry or Ireland hey. If we pick barry ahead of ireland then i think that our centre midfield is looking to defensive and we need a player like Ireland who will make runs going forward and cause a threat in that box! We will have to wait and see what Mancini chooses to do hey.

Anyway, I think a 3-0 win to the blues with Tevez, Bellers and SWP Scoring.

I think Mancini said that Ireland won't be able to play a full match yet.

I can see us go 4-5-1 with Tevez as the lone striker and SWP, Ireland and Bellamy behind him, De Jong and Barry as central and defensive midfielders.
so now as every enemy circles our city
sour and sore, we swear war

I had a really good feeling about this before it was cancelled but now, after the loss with Everton, I have my doubts................

We really need to get a couple of goals more than them tomorrow night to be in with a chance, and I just cant see that happening.

Here's hoping though, and it will be a true test for Bobby Manc!

yeah. Not long ago they were playing their kids and we were on fire.
Now we expect their first eleven and we look clueless.
Still should be a good night out.

Iv'e got bad feeling about this game now, but they are still shit at the back and god only know's how Burnley didn't score against them.
If we can score first we stand a chance but if they beat us to it then we will see just how good Mancini's tactics are.

City 2 Them 2

Tevez
Bellamy

And a battled second leg at OT, for which I also have a feeling but I'll keep my trap shut for the time being.

2-0 city. Robbie set up by Tevez, then a SWP thunderbolt to put the icing on the cake. Would of liked Vieira to play to score as well.

Had a bad feeling before first leg got cancelled, and was pleased at the subsequent delay. That has changed.

Now I have a worse feeling. I got in late, haven't eaten, and need the toilet, so to be fair it might be that.

2-1.

Dunno who to. We were always gonna have to put in a huge performance at The Death Star to win this tie, I just want it over with now. IT'S DOING MY HEAD IN.

City 3-0, after 13 minutes. SWP to score from the kick-off. Then Bellamy after 12. Tevez then anticipates what the rags he used to play among will do from the restart, gets possession and charges through on his own to score. Crowd going barmy. Ferguson apoplectic on the touchline and loses it when the referee City gives a dodgy penalty from which Tevez makes it four, Fergie runs onto the pitch to scream at the ref, falls over, and is banished to the stands. Two more for 5 and 6, then on the stroke of half time a high ball into their box gets Neville in a dither, he slips, kicks the air not the ball, and lets in Tevez for his hat-trick and number 7. Haven't dreamed the second half yet except for the now empty area at one end. F*CKING COME ON CITY! BATTER the rag bastards.

2-1 City

You'll lead
Concede

and then

Score a beauty in the 5 added minutes.
