Lawro & Degenerate Predictions v Arsenal (H)

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Lawro & Degenerate Predictions v Arsenal (H)

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Dec 16, 2016 12:36 pm

Lawro's opponent for this week's fixtures is tennis legend Boris Becker.
Both Lawro and the Degenerate Crackhead have splinters in their backsides this week, being unable to call it either way.

On Boris, The three-time Wimbledon champion says he has an allegiance with three English teams, as well as Bayern Munich. The German explained: "Bayern are my favourite team, and not only because I was on their board of directors for 10 years.

"When I was living in Munich, I became good friends with my hero Franz Beckenbauer, plus people like Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and many of the Bayern players, and my knowledge of football is a bit better than your average tennis professional. "My favourite English team is Chelsea. The reason for that is I used to have a flat in Chelsea, and I befriended Frank Lampard.

"He said that before going to watch any other team I should come to Stamford Bridge because I was going to become a Blue. That was about 15 years ago, and I have stuck with it."I live in Wimbledon now so AFC Wimbledon are my local club. I went to a couple of games and I met the president and I support them and hopefully they will get better and come back to the Premier League. "And Tottenham are another team I follow. I must say hello to my neighbour, Bill, who is a die-hard Spurs fan and I have been to the Lane a couple of times.".... FFS BORIS, you are just a football whore.

Lawro Says

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38322025

Arsenal looked a little bit rocky dealing with set-pieces and crosses into the box during Tuesday's defeat by Everton.

That's not to say City will try to do that against them, but it showed there are still ways of getting to the Gunners.

City's own defensive issues are well documented but they played with a four at the back against Watford and looked fairly comfortable for most of the game.

Their next task is keeping out Arsenal's attack, which will be a lot more difficult.

Lawro's prediction: 1-1

Boris's prediction: This is the game of the weekend. For me City are the title favourites, I know Pep from Bayern Munich and he is a great guy and a great manager. Arsenal are not doing too bad either, though. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has a very strong team but I believe City will win at home. 2-1

Merson says

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/ ... -liverpool

cannot pick this one. It is so hard. A draw is no good for either side, really, and both have to go for it, which might mean they cancel each other out.

Arsenal couldn't cope with the tempo of Everton on Tuesday night, but Man City won't play like that this weekend. It all depends what Pep Guardiola does. In the last big game, he changed his formation to match Chelsea and they had a enough chances to win that.

Both teams are capable of winning this 3-0. I am sitting on the fence here.

PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1

Kind of agree with DC. Both sides are capable of the win.

Becker seems to like hanging around with crooks when he's back home.

Anybody seen who the Rags have got? PiGMOL have drafted in the heavy mob with the one and only Rag bastard Taylor taking the game as they must be thinking West Brom are on a bit of a run!

Id take that and bounce home happy. Personally, I think they will beat us at a canter. I'm dreading it so a few scoops in Mary Ds first will be needed.

It's fucking hilarious. They've offset it by giving Dean the Murkyside Derby even though he's not ref'd any of the Dipper games for around 10 yesrs due to him being from the area. 10 years self abstention and then thrown in just like that?

Something clearly wrong this weekend and I'll be definitely having a look out for their performance.

Remember the last time Arsenal were being talked about for the title, didn't that end up 6-3?

That was a game and a half. I'd take that on Sunday.

It's all down to how we defend. No more of this 3 at the back bollicks until we get the personnel who can do it.

Pep says he is pragmatic and proved that on Wednesday. He also said that we need to play well to stop Blues leaving early. Yeah right, they've got X-Factor to get home for!
