I've only just finished watching the game cos I was at the Ice Hockey this evening.
Some thoughts.
Nolito really is not very good.
Nacho should have been playing every game in Sergio's absence.
Yaya was superb from the off.
Sagna was rank.
Sterling is such a mixed bag.
Very decent result that was starting to look unlikely.
We only have one player of the quality of the old guard that are reaching their natural end and that is KdB. ( Although one or two others have a chance)

Nolito wasn't great but the stat carries on, 9 league starts, 9 league wins now. To give him his due he did manage to work himself some decent positions to have a crack but just like Silva he was found wanting when he took the shot on. He hit one absolutely brilliant corner that had someone been attacking the back post they'd have had a simple headed chance.

As for Sagna, don't get you, he did his job well enough and cleared brilliantly off the line which seemed to be the turning point in the game.

I find it sad that we've got to the stage now where we can't even enjoy a win in our strive for perfection, it seems it's all or nothing these days.

Sagna read that situation immaculately, but he had a poor game. I made some observations, that's all. It was not a perfect performance by any stretch, in fact it was very frustrating. We lacked cutting edge and that is largely, in my opinion, due to having no natural striker on the pitch.which was easily remedied.
On the plus side Yaya showed how good he still is. Otter made some good tackles. The defence looked reasonably sound, Bravo included.
In my opinion, a poor team selection made tgat harder than it needed to be.
Nine wins out of nine? It's an impressive stat on the face of it. But Nolito really doesn't deserve any credit from that performance.

Apart from that one fuck up where he was all at sea, what else did he do wrong? I actually thought him coming for and making another punch later in the game showed that he didn't let the earlier fuck up affect his confidence.

It was lots of little things. He wasn't tested too much in the game that saved his bacon but his positioning and decision making was just poor.

That punch was the only bold decision he got right.
