There is no need to show anything . If the ball crosses the line it sends a signal to the ref. The ref is so bad that he can't even confirm this.

There is no need for discussion. So the fact that the ref had to consult the linesman is worrying to me.

Yep because if it had crossed the line he would say so and not consult the linesman.

It clearly crossed the line and he pointed to his watch, where I assume the alert comes, before speaking to the linesman. I suspect the discussion was about which of the three attempts crossed the line. I assume he got two alerts, including the final one from Gray and the discussion would be about which, if any, was a foul.

The first attempt didn't cross the line, the second did and the third did, bit was headed out of Bravo's hands. So perfectly good goal and I'm not sure why the ref checking it was OK is a problem

If he's fouled by Vokes then how is it a piss poor attempt, a bloke that size throwing his elbow across your chest is going to knock any keeper off balance whilst jumping.

Looking at it again, was a clear foul on Bravo. Not great (or even good) keeping by him, but also a very very clear foul. Can understand Pep's anger 200%.

I think the problem is that the VERY clear foul on Bravo when he had the ball in his hands was during the 3rd effort, but it passed the line on the 2nd effort. Unless you are saying he was fouled during the 1st effort, where you can see the Burnely player swing his arm towards Bravo/the ball.

I think he was mocking the idea that it was Bravo's fault, but I can't quite tell. He was well pissed off in that interview.

Still not seen it properly, from a possible foul to it crossing the line. When it's fully transparent, not taking 5 minutes to clear it up, there's always going to be questions. I watch tennis and it takes less than 5 seconds to show a call, the technology is so accepted, but why does it take a much richer game to take a few minutes unless it's part of the editorial?

His discussion with the linesman was about Sagna kicking one of their forwards after the goal had been scored and he was trying to recover the ball, for which he booked said miscreant as a result.

he was saying it was a foul on Bravo, not that it was his fault. i thought the same thing as you and had to rewind it. the interviewer did as well which is why he followed up with "it was his fault?". im pretty sure Pep was saying something like "it was his foul", meaning someone fouled him. but Pep's accent and ESL made it hard to understand. its the only logical thing given his comments about the different refereeing decisions in the PL that followed.

If I was Guardiola I'd just come out and say we have imported some of the best managers/players in the world and that we should do this with the referees to make the game the best it can be. No direct criticism but he gets his point over. I'm at the end of my tether with it.
