Spring Is Often Our Summer

Postby zabbadabbado » Thu Jan 05, 2017 9:33 am

Spring is often our summer.

Those are the facts. We usually start off the season like a Greyhound out on the tracks. Crushing all before us, scoring for fun.

Inexplicably our form tails off, we lose our intensity. Results become inconsistent. There is no reason for this. It can’t be explained, because the team is essentially the same one, that starts the season.

Doubts start to set in, that we might not even make top 4, suddenly we burst back in to life,go on a second half of season charge. I am not saying we are going to win the League this year. I am saying we have a habit of looking polar apposite in the same season, either breathtakingly good, or piss poor. With us anything really is possible. Let’s face it, we have been here before, once, or twice. Would any of us be surprised by any out come ?

Who knows Jesus might have us truly risen by Easter. :D :D

The near future looks a bit grim. I fancy is to come stronger toward the end. Once again.

Chelsea defeat has opened the door ajar, and they have some tough games coming up.

Out of the top 6 teams, I think Spuds are the only other threat for the title,. One has to admit they look good under Pocahontas. I thought Liverpool really were dog shit, it made that defeat even harder to swallow. Arsenal is Arsenal they bottle it ever year. The RAGS get an injury to Imabignosedbitch and they might struggle. Although one has to admit Moaniniho has got them playing again.

I am hoping all the shit we have been getting in the media will galvanise us a bit. Make a defensive signing in this window. And get Jesus bagging us a few between now and the end of season. Would be nice to get another 20 + season scorer in the side.

I am Bottle half full after Chelsea defeat. If they had won that, then I thought it was all but over.

Indeed.

And thinking we fucked up so much when had that good schedule until the Chelsea game. However, we won the title with some amazing performances in march and april. Last season our end of season run was really bad. I think it will all come down if we are still in the Champions League. Remember we managed to go all the way because we were out from every competition except the league.

We don't have a good enought squad to go for the double this year. I am not saying the FA Cup also because it would be madness.

We got a great run of results but there were some really scratchy performances early on like WHU and Sunderland where we scrambled over the line.

More concerned about the immediate future with games away at Everton and home to Spurs. Win those and I'll believe we have the squad to finish well ahead of 4th place.

Noises are that we're looking for at least one defender if not two, so we could end the season very strongly if we get the right signing(s). And of course, Jesus is about to manifest himself to the believers and non-believers alike.
