Barry's been knackered for a few games now, and he's had more bad matches than good ones for us this season! He couldn't complain if he was dropped for a few matches imo.

as I say, he needs an operation on his groin, I think this is affecting his performances to be honest, and he'll want the op before the world cup having cemented his ticket to south africa

I wouldn't be shocked if Barry was more injured than we realise. He was excellent at the start of the season and good players don't dip like he is atm for no reason.

Get Flamini in and get Barry an op.

Hmmmmm.....does this add some credence to this rumour?

We can confirm that Adam Clayton will return to Carlisle United on loan for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, a product of City’s Academy system, enjoyed a successful spell at Brunton Park in the latter part of 2009, starting 10 games and scoring once.

His initial two-month loan finished at the end of December but the two clubs have now reached an agreement that will see Adam gain more invaluable experience in Division One.

Also the mail are reporting it.

but sadly quoting SSN doesn't inspire any more confidence in this coming off.

We need some pace and dynamism in midfield. Flamini could provide that. De Jong and Barry need to have the occasional rest, and a bit of a kick up the booty. Plus with Ireland being injured, it has become clear that we are light on numbers in terms of midfielders

I hope this means that Mancini has settled on Kompany playing centre-half. He's a far better defender than midfielder.

2 players in every position
Barry Vieira de Jong Flamini
that'll do for now

Barry Vieira. Patrick's journeyman brother?

Hope this Flamini story is true. I thought he was one of the very best midfielders in the PL in his last season at Arsenal.

Should've just signed him and left Vieira. No need for both imo.

That's what I was I thinking. If I'm not wrong, Vieira's departure went barely unnoticed until Flamini left, such were his performances.

In other words, I believe he filled the Vieira hole adequately.

As was mentioned, he can also play right back, but isn't getting his game in either position for AC Milan, who are pretty average in premier league terms IMO.

Imagine Hughes went a signed these two - Vieira and Flamini, on top of De Jong, Barry and Kompany??

All that said, I think Flamini was a superb midfield player and he's more than welcome...

Like I always say - get them ALL in and let the best ones play!!

I prefer the term "role".

Hole doesn't really sound right.....

I knew some fucker would pick up on that! ;)

Role indeed, but the hole he left when he went was what I really meant.
