Wow. That's some set of results. Regardless of the opposition that is some consistent scoring. You can only beat what is in front of you

We are almost a month away, but if we play them now, they will tear us a new one. We made a lot of sacrifices last season and this year to reach a higher level in Europe. We need to get our things sorted or we do not stand a chance.

A side with a seemingly potent attack is playing a side with a defence which, at times, seems almost non-existent and is in contention for being, palpably, the worst one left in this competition. I'd say PP, we would need a whole boatload of elements sorting because, if we don't, this could be a very one-sided contest indeed.
Apart from the goalkeeping situation, which is a world of nightmares in itself, I think, at the very least, we've got to start defending a lot deeper and forego the high pressing aspect which Pep requires. I also think that if Vinnie is fit and has been given some game time to try and ease him back in gently, we've got to risk playing him from the start against our French opponents.
This might be nearly impossible to achieve but we've also got to hope and pray he doesn't incur another, season ending, injury either before or during the Monaco fixtures.
I also feel that, in order to protect our back line a little more, we might have to sacrifice some creativity in midfield and if this means playing either Fernando or Delph, or even both of them together, then so be it and if it means playing Navas to shield the right back position, by using him deeper, then I'd go for that as well.
All of which doesn't leave much room for manouevre, re our attacking options up front........mind you, it might be the perfect time for Jesus to burst onto the scene and make an immediate impression.
