Yes being reported by the mirror, some suggestion on twitter that the report was based on speculation not fact, latest from bbc radio Humberside is that Hull City have said they are not in a position to comment at this time. Hopefully he's ok.

Hull City can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.
He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery.
Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

Just read that mate and cannot fathom why the media would put it out there that he was fighting for his life.
Fucking horrible scumbags!

Good. Here's to a full and speedy recovery.

Things like this and the Muamba incident puts all the shit that happens on the field with the histrionics into perspective.
Best of luck to Ryan Mason. Hope he makes a full recovery and goes on to live a healthy life and if he is very lucky, a return to playing football.

The Beeb have posted he is apparently talking today and able to talk about the incident - both good signs I would think.
