I know he wanted to leave, but I feel like we did very little to convince him to stay. Practically 0 first team opportunities for a player who has seamlessly slotted into Barcelona.
I just hope his story isn't a wash rinse repeat

Pellegrini tried when he came in but he'd already made up his mind that he was going.

Let's look at it sensibly and realise that he hasn't just left us and jumped straight into the Barca team. He moved to Barca and went to their second team before being loaned out, finally sold. 3 years after buying him from us they enacted the buy back clause from Villarreal and then he got his chance. He's now 23 and not a first team main stay.
Good look to the lad but for us I don't think we could wait that long. We don't know how he felt either, he may have wanted to go back.

Oh, I know he wasn't going to make it with us and it was at the time the correct decision to sell him. With hindsight however he is turning into a half decent player and my point is I hope we at least try out our lads before moving them on so as not to let too many decent ones slip through.
As I understand it though we had a decent agreement in terms of the fee and add ons. So it's not all bad

Apparently we stand to make £8.7m if he makes 100 appearances for Barca.

He might just make that number but I don't see him as a player who will help keep Barca at the top. Squad player for them though is pretty good isn't it?

It is, 3 seasons as a squad player should see him make the 100, agree with your other point too although some are slow burners so you never know.

I hadn't heard that before but I think we need that change.
I would love it if the semis were played at neutral venue too (but not Wembley)

Just read that Mourinho doesn't acknowledge Hulls first goal as he doesnt think it was a penalty. He says the rags drew 1-1 and are now 18 games unbeaten.
Surely, he must be saying this tongue in cheek? Though he is deluded enough to believe the shite he spouts

Having his hair cut seems to have affected his head in some way.........if nothing else, it certainly makes it look bigger
.......oh - and because we didn't quite dominate the game at the Swamp in the second half, as we did in the incredible first half, we didn't really win it 2-1, so that result needs airbrushing out of the record books.
Isn't it great to re-write history; it's a megalomaniac's delight.

The scum got through on an off-side goal from the first leg. He's a cunt.

TBF, I've not seen it as I don't watch them unless they play against us, so going off what I've been told. But if it's not the case then I've no doubt they got away with something so they can fuck off anyhow.

Mata's 1st goal that broke the deadlock.
