'Three strikes' policy - so we breached a technicality three times (probably with the same player within a relatively short space of time - IE loan spell of whatever) - annoying but totally our fault. Hardly warrants the bullshit headline on the BBC's website though.
The name being rumoured at the moment is George Glendon when on loan to Fleetwood.
If it's true that it happened three times well we can't really complain too much about the FA.
It may be heavy handed in the media dealing with it but we would expect that from them.
It does sometimes sound like we haven't really brought the administrative end of the business up to the required standard for a world leading organisation.
I still feel that someone has messed up regarding Jesus's registration and it's not just wrapping him in cotton wool.
I hope it's just a fine and not a lifetime ban for George, if it was indeed him.
Seems he has now signed permanently for Fleetwood.

UEFA and the FA have their hooks into us and will use whatever they can to make life more difficult. That becomes more and more clear every season. This is just the latest and there will be more to come. They DO NOT want a level playing field.

Why not both?
Add a 5 match ban to Fernandinho also.
I think they'll be fairly lenient with us PP; it'll just be relegation.
However, following our divisional demotion (it might even be League 1, rather than the Championship), we'll be forced to pay off the contracts of all our players so that they can be mopped up, for free, by any other club.
Added to that, we'll probably be given a multi-billion fine, which will ensure we fall foul of any domestic FFP regulations for decades to come.
Furthermore, as a Club with "no history", our record of being in the Premier League since 2008 will be airbrushed out......we were never really here, to paraphrase an expression used in another time.
Yes, they'll be quite lenient with us.
So 1905 all over again then?

The club has accepted the charge. BBC reporting it is most likely to be a fine.

I've seen it reported as a 25,000 fine.

I've heard it reported as 'City admit doping charges'.

The Beeb's headline on their website has been something similar since it was first reported.
VIVA EL CITIES
"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee ... has banned Mr Joseph S. Blatter ... for eight years and Mr Michel Platini ... for eight years from all football-related activities (administrative, sports or any other) on a national and international level. The bans come into force immediately." - 21/12/2015

Sloppy admin error from us. Makes us look like amateurs and of course there's the press coverage too. If I was Khaldoon I'd be punching cunts in the face over this.
I'm not buying the City conspiracy angle either. Any other club doing same would be plastered in the press too.
Sorry for negative, angry rant but this shit is avoidable.

Do we know any specifics yet?
Could it be a case of players pulling sickies from training and not being there on three separate occasions that the anti-dopers turned up?

Highly unlikely since I would put a large sum of money on the players having their home address as an alternative contact point. I can't see it being anything other than an online database that we've failed to update.

It was still reported as 'Man City Receive Fine For Anti-Doping Charge', still trying to paint a picture that we have real offenders.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't manage to insert the word 'cheating' in there somewhere
