Haven't seen it. Was it stonewall and Webb is being a dick?
Was a definite penalty and Webb said so.
He was just adding that it looked like Sterling at first tried to stay on his feet but maybe after the experience the other week against Spurs, decided it's best stay down.
Personally I think Raheem tried to play on but was so far off balance, he simply couldn't.
There was absolutely no doubt about the penalty.

Agree on the strength of the bench. I'm giddy again after that performance (on the back of the last two)!

He played short when he could and wasnt afraid to launch it when necessary.
If someone had said before the league cup final last year that a day would come when we would be relieved and feel more confident when Willy was selected ahead of our number one keeper....

Twosips tweeted at half time that it was like watching the under 18's. I think he was about right.
Control of the game with good possession, good movement, good pace, good skill on the ball, good finishing as well tonight although as we cut them open so well they were not difficult finishes were they. Absolute pleasure to watch.

Very pleased with that and also on that performance from Fonte, how good must Van Diyk be to make him look comptotent?
Willy and Jesus were the right calls also.
Tracking back is overrated.

None whatosever. By no means a world beater but compared to Bravo he probably is. Gave the defence some much needed composure and confidence and the fact that he actually communicates with his back 4, comes for the ball, and makes saves makes him look world class compared to Bravo. Perhaps the penny has finally dropped with Pep and he will stop being so stubborn, as it seems as though he is starting to accept that he has made mistakes, and it is probably the first time in his managerial career that he has made so many. He said that he came to England to learn - I hope that he is now humble enough to do so

No, I think IWT2012 is spot on with his judgment of the scenario. If you were being sarcastic then that's gone way over my head

I'll need to see a replay of that then it just seemed to me as if he could've stayed on his feet but as said foul 100% nonetheless and who really cares lol

To his credit he tried to stay on his feet but the initial foul caused him to lose his balance to such an extent that had he even been capable of doing so would have got no reward for it. I genuinely believe he tried to but the first challenge was a foul and it was no doubt a penalty, therefore why even bother trying to stay on his feet, especially when he got no reward for doing so against Spuds.
