Sorry if this has already been covered but I couldn't see it anywhere (and don't want to read through 25 pages of the match thread)
I was at the match so only saw the incident once and thought it was a pen but there were plenty of people on the radio saying it wasn't. So, just between us blues, was it a penner?
tv coverage on the beeb was not conclusive. they all thought it was contact outside and no contact inside but it looked as though there was a pull right on the edge. anyway doesn't matter. was it a penalty? yes! the ref said it was so it was. we got done against everton today the moon shone on us!
I'm sure when we read tomorrows papers it will be as much of a penalty as all the other ones given. Ref says penalty, it's a penalty. For me, if Micah's foul was apenalty on Saturday then the foul on Bellamy tonight had to be one as well.
Definitely a foul, but I'm not sure it was inside the box, however even if it were outside, it was close enough to the edge that to make a judging mistake on that wouldn't be very hard.
He definately still had a hand on Bellendamy when they got inside the box. I've watched it half a dozen times at least and if he still has his hand on him in the area, then it's a pen. Not speakin with my blue glasses on, it's just how it was nuff said.

Foul outside, and the slap on Bellamy's forearm (leading from the position his arm was in after the initial foul) created a second foul. From the amount of rag players in the box, and the position outside the box the initial foul happened, that should have meant a red card and a free kick to me. As it was, it ended up a pen and a yellow.
