For the indecent? Nah.

For their players and manager being a bunch of moaning whining scumbags who have tried to cheat and influence referees nationwide for going on 20 years? Most definitely.

Laughable penalty, but I'm not complaining considering what happened at Everton.

Not a penalty, but justice for what happened earlier on in the season at their place.

I am very surprised fellow City fans. It was a nailed on pen and the ref made it clear it was for the second foul and not the one outside the box where he had hold of his shirt. Seemed clear to me that he pulled Bellers arm back and we all know Bellers doesnt dive.

Doug you know in your heart of hearts if that pen would have been awarded the other way you would cried foul from the ref.

I was at the match so only saw the incident once and thought it was a pen but there were plenty of people on the radio saying it wasn't. So, just between us blues, was it a penner?

I was sat pretty level to the incident - though in the west stand opposite.

Bellamy's pace brought him down after Rafael tugged first at his shirt and then on his arm.

To be fair I thought it was a lucky penalty too, inasmuch as many refs wouldn't have given it.

Having said that, it could be argued that Mike Dean gave Bellamy the benefit of the advantage law after the shirt pull but then awarded a foul for the second offence - the same thing happened on Saturday when Micah committed two offences against Everton. One outside the box followed immediately by another inside the box.

Would I have given a penalty tonight though?

Well I appealed for it ....... but no I wouldn't.

Last weekends vs Micah was semi-debatable per the letter of the law. He got hold of his shirt outside the box...sort of relaxed his grip (but stayed in contact with the jersey) and the player went down in the area.

For the record it was a fucking inept, dumb piece of play and even if technically it MAY not have been a penalty Micah deserved to concede one for acting like a naïve hotheaded clumsy prick.

Tonight, however, it was clear as fucking day. Rafael was burnt off for pace. Grabbed at Craig's shirt outside the box. Actually lost his grip. Then got a handful again inside the box and Bellamy lost balance

It was nailed on. Unsurprising as to who the questioning voices are on this thread. Some of them didn't have the benefit of replays so far maybe. Others have (in my eyes) fine pedigree for not knowing what the fuck they are talking about re football.

Either way, you start pulling shirts in/near the penalty area and you deserve everything you get.

I saw it clear as day mate. Didn't need a replay.
As I said : Many refs wouldn't have given it.

But Dean did and I don't particularly give a fuck - what goes around comes around :-D

Deffo a pen.

Initial foul outside the box, Mike Dean played a good advantage. The Brazilian ladyboy continued his trangression inside the box causing Bellers to fall over. Penalty.

Plus, the aforementioned defender happened to be wearing a red shirt. Nailed on.
