Sterling was £44m.

Stones was £50m.

Everton's management must have been laughing their heads when they received that offer.

Just checked. He was £47.5 million.

Either way. He's still useless.

He was crap at Everton and he's crap for us. A colossal waste of money.

Would the game be any different if we had been awarded a penalty and the keeper had been sent off?

I actually think he's a good defender. He's not being asked to defend by Pep and that's the main problem.

Our defending was absolutely abysmal but once again the referee has had a huge impact on the game. That one decision sent our team into disarray, losing concentration and putting the players in a position where they were wondering what could've been.

Pep didn't help with his continued rants (although the ref deserved it) and he should've got their heads back on the game rather than feeling sorry for themselves.

Hopefully he'll sort it for the second half and we do an 'Arsenal' on their arses!

Penalty and red card and the tie is over. We have been royally fucked over. I will not blame our players for this corruption.

EVERY FUCKING YEAR.

The ref got rhat decision wrong.
But they pissed through us on several occasions.
That has nothing to do with the officials. I am afraid it's not all down to the ref.
Did the ref make willy play from the back..... did he make otamendi shite?

It's a quite an amazing statement and used to defend a position of pessimism. Of course the ref has had a massive impact on the game, nobody could/should argue.

I can't understand why we play Yaya as a holding midfielder in front of a dodgy defence. For 50 mil I would expect Stones to be more commanding. I've just seen the replays and it was dire defending!

Tom Rostance on the bbc feed writes this crap

"Steven Gerrard called that second Monaco goal 'catastrophic' from City's point of view, which is immensely satisfying to say in a Liverpool accent."

Is Kolarov on the bench? Otamendi should not only be off the pitch, he should be taken outside in the car park and shot!

Oh, and we now hear there wasn't a yellow for Sterling. How the fuck does that work!

The BT pundits questioning the value of Otamendi.

How is it that it's only our management team cannot see how shit this guy is!?!?
