Tonights Carling Cup and Premier league games

Postby Blueboylewis » Wed Jan 20, 2010 4:52 pm

Carling Cup football on tonight-

Aston Villa vs Blackburn 19:45

Premier league football on tonight-

Arsenal vs Bolton 19:45
Liverpool vs Tottenham 20:00

Our focus will be mainly be on the carling cup game tonight with Blackburn aiming to turn around a one goal defecit.
I still think Villa will beat them but i would love to see blackburn in the Final. Would be an easier game :)

And there are two premier league matches on tonight with Arsenal vs Bolton and Liverpool vs tottenham. I would like to see Bolton beat Arsenal but i cant see that happening and for Liverpool to draw with tottenham but it would be funny if they lost again!

On an even further side note.

How good is it to be involved in all this, top of the table bollocks, cup semi finals, getting past the 3rd round of the FA cup.

By January its all usually over for us and everyone is thinking about summer holidays.

Puts into context where we are. Blackburn or Villa if we progress.

Still a long way to go.

Don't you just miss looking down the table at those below us and thinking..."If we can just pick a couple of points we're safe from relegation." ...That often lasted until around Easter.

Well for footballing reasons I'd say Villa, but if we get Balckburn, we'll have a far easier ride and the "footballing spectacle" of the competition will have been beating the champions over two legs.

I just want the cup because if we win, nothing will stop us charging up that league.

As far the Pool v Spurs game goes, I want a draw or a spurs win. Liverpool are a threat once they get on any kind of a roll, but I really feel that Spurs won't have what it takes come the end of the season.

Cup - Blackburn
League - Draw

Fair play to Villa, that's a great atmosphere when they came out.
