Sorry, I forgot the actual reason you were crying that time.

Point is, you shoudn't give out about what you percieve to be OTHER people crying, when you're fond of a good whinge yourself.

I have a hard time understanding this forum at times... Rooney gets his cocked sucked by what some describe as a great performance, and that warrents a "this is a football forum and we have the right to discuss football.." Then Robbies half ass high five is brought up and people are getting ready to start the inquisition saying to lay off him. It is extremely difficult to win anything without some sort of team chemistry and if robbie (or any of the other subs for that matter) dont get excited about Tevez's performance, imo he doesn't have his heart or head with manchester city. If you play on a TEAM you should get excited when the TEAM performs well.

This can be a strange forum at times, but I think you picked two examples that aren't particularly apt, especially from the perspective you used.

Rooney was their best player last night, and we did well to restrict him. It was the best I've seen him play in quite a while. I, of course, hate the cunt and normally consider him highly overrated, but lastnight he deserved it.

It's bizarre to say the least to say that there's an inquisition saying to defend Robinho against all criticism. If there was an inquisition it wasn't to defend him, which is kind of the point of the thread.

In all fairness I just read the first page and about half of the second, and the concensus I got was that if he isn't playing this thread is out of line and shouldn't have been made. I thought Rooney did nothing in the first half, didn't capitalize on the chances he had (Given did have a fantastic night though) and to me only looked positive for the last 20 mins or so when, like mancini said, we were very tired and under siege. My original point was more along the lines of either everything is ok to say or nothing is, which I think this forum has a difficult time with sometimes.

I've not seen any replays from last night yet and was trying to avoid this forum so that I could make an objective, un-swayed view when I watched it again....so consequently, I have not seen Robinhos reaction to anything last night.

That said, how the fuck has he managed to get a 5 page thread when he didn't even get on the pitch? What is wrong with people on this forum? We beat the Scum, Robinho doesn't even get a game and yet his thread eclipses those of players that were on the pitch?

Total fuckin madness. When will people get it into their heads that we dont need scapegoats.

I mean, what has he actually done? Has he twatted a team mate? Has he slapped in a transfer request? Has he declared his love for the Scum? No. His form has dipped and he's suffering because the entire media in this country is pointing and laughing.

What hapened to "We've got Robinho"? If someone should be taking the piss it should be the media but we as City fans should not be picking on him like this because he's one of ours until he moves on.

So please, if you can't back the players, just shut the fuck up and leave them the fuck alone.

Kyle, I get your point exactly.

One problem is that some people think that personal abuse is an acceptable form of discussion. They don't understand the concept of debate or argument and think that if anyone holds a view contrary to their own that view should not be expressed on this forum.

Happily there are loads of well informed, reasonable people who like a bit of banter and a laugh. They more than offset the few who still add humour to proceedings in their own way!

But mate, on that basis, is it therefore only ok to make observations if they are positive ones? I recall a thread being started on Robinho mucking around during the Sylvinho interview on the OS.

That thread continued on on the observation that Robinho seemed very happy and positive because he was smiling and joking and chanting "Come On City".

This thread continued on the observation of the opposite. I don't see a problem with it TBH.

Its not like the thread is calling for everyone to bring banners and mock him at the next game. "We've got Robinho" will still be heard throughout the stadium if/when he does anything positive. He gets more support from the crowd on that basis than any other player we currently have.

Its all only an observation, not a planned protest .

That's exactly what I'd expect to hear from opposition fans. Fans who want to ricicule City, so forgive me if I offended you, and by all means, do tell us what you meant by that?

The debate seems to have moved on since this but I've just come back please dont think I was ignoring you or trying to evade the question. Not when it comes down to questioning my loyalty to our team.
The Hahahahaha was in reply to someone who(think it might have been Alvin) thought that me saying Robbie is gonna be here for the next 3 years was hilarious.
I wouldn't want our club being fleeced by anybody it would irk me no end.
However I find good to think that he will be here regardless of his drought in front of goal no matter what his detractors say.
Its gonna be very hard to get rid of him.Thats a fact.
By then hopefully he will have won a lot of people back, some are never gonna be impressed with him.But I think more people will begin to accept that he is a different type of player and the way he shows his passion and emotion's may be different to those players we have that wear their heart on their sleeves.

Mate thats the most reasoned and fair post you've made on the subject IMO.

The only thing that still contradicts is that you say he is currently justifying what's been/is being paid for him.

If that was the case, why would we make such a loss that it would cost us "tens of millions of pounds". If he's playing as well as you think, we should have no problem re-couping the money surely?

I dont think theres many clubs that could afford him and the ones that could dont need him.
Like you say he is nowhere near Messi,Tranny , Goofy(for me)Zlatan or quite a few others but I think he has the potential.
The big teams have players that are probably as good as Robbie, but I think Robbie has the ability to go to the level of the superstars and be better than his rivals who are in the big teams at the moment and when he does become a superstar I'd love it to be with us.

Big difference between the threads, Mate.

The Silvinho interview was focused on how the players were reacting to the new manager. Yeah, everyone picked up on Robinho smiling and joking and in the context, that was justified. New manager, new Robinho.

This thread, however, seems to be a snipe at Robinho regardless of the fact that he didn't even get onto the field. If he's gets this much negative attention from not even getting a game, how much is he likely to get if he does get a game and once again plays shit?

My point is A) please leave Robinho alone until he does something to seriously piss people off and B) are there not enough talking points from last night without this twaddle?

As much as I agree that he'll come good if given the chance, I doubt that we'll ever see the real Robinho again because he'll never be given that chance. He's been forced into his shell by our media and a certain section of fans and I doubt that he'll emerge until he signs for someone else. For some bizarre reason, people just want him to fail.

.......which is a crying fuckin shame, if you ask me.

I've not made it to page 5 because the content in this thread has got to be the worse i've ever read. From 'He is one of the best in the Prem' to 'He is the most expensive flop'.

Reminds me of the Hughes threads, only worse (shakes head in serious disapproval)!
