Spuds are like a skilful version of red scouse, start at100 MPH, and run out of steam halfway through the second half.

Spurs have had an excellent season this time KK, but it's possible that, next season, they might suffer some sort of reaction to their endeavours so far in this one; a kind of 'second season syndrome'.

I don't think it would be on the same scale as that which happened to Leicester in this current campaign, but they might experience extended periods of indifferent form which would leave them adrift of the top four places, in spite of the decent players they do have in their ranks.

I'm still not convinced by them being the, so called, "best team in the division", as claimed by many at present and I do think that, to an extent, they've rather overachieved............however, having said that, they'll now probably go on to win the title.

Agree with the sentiment of taking your rivals best players. Bayern do it year in year out. Spuds without either Alli or Kane or Erikson would be a different beast and not as dangerous. Make yourself stronger whilst weakening your rivals is not a bad idea

Where did spuds finish last season MC, hardly second season syndrome....

I think that they have got to the point of not being a selling best players type club and I don't see the manager going anywhere as theirs fans fear.

They'll be in the mix again next season imo

Yes they will and if they get some money to spend might be a challenger for sure next year.

Dele Ali is very good but there is just something about him I don't like. I can't warm to him whatsoever and take a liking to his little spats.

Strange as he is English and came from the lower leagues and doesn't seem a bad lad. God knows what it is.... anyway fuck you Dele

I know what you mean WW, I cannot put my finger on either, that said he's been a lot less volatile this season than last. Still don't like him as a person but he's becoming a great player

Moving to a new ground might disrupt them next season. They've struggled when they've played their games at Wembley.

Work with a ST holder at theirs and they still don't know where they are playing next season despite now getting emails about renewing!!

Thanks CITD; I'm probably going to have difficulty justifying my thoughts, but here goes.

Last season, I just felt Spurs had no pressure on them at all as everyone was seemingly 'distracted' by the Leicester phenomenon, the apparent 'implosion' of Mourinho and Chelsea, Liverpuddle's inability to compete consistently even under the 'genius' that was Klopp, Arsenal's failure to compete for an entire season and the Scum's abject mediocrity under Van Ghoul.

We ourselves had a most disappointing season but still scored more goals in the League (71 to 69) than they did and they only finished four points above us because they drew 13 games as opposed to our nine.

All in all, it just felt as though Spurs 'crept' almost unnoticed into third place.

This term they are now being widely spoken of as potential Champions and they seem to be on a 'roll'. However, I'm anticipating that next season they will then come under real pressure and we will finally see what they are made of.....and I don't think it's all that much, to be honest.

However, having said all that, it could also be my intense dislike of them and their Chas and Dave rabbiting 'persona' (if such a thing could apply to a football club) that's showing through, so we'll just have to wait and see.

(PS; For some reason, I don't like Pochettino, but I don't know why)

And i didn't think much of the Kane wonder header that the Beeb pundits were waxing lyrical about . A nod on with the top of his bonce that happened to go in Dead lucky , it could have gone anywhere with someone who had a normal round crown and not a flat bonce.

One thing is for sure spurs don't currently have the big scalp status that we have had since 2008. Created largely by the media I'll add.

Interesting to see how they respond if and when they do.

A nice bonus today would be a Rag drubbing by Burnley, or will the ex-Rags come to the Scums aid?

Just seen the Rag line-up and Sky are showing Shrek upfront and A&E in the middle of the park. I think they need to reverse that, Shrek will be sat to hoofball into A&E.

Must've just missed it, was like watching a Sunday league game so i switched it over for our build-up.

Looks like it's all about Arsenal at the moment, waiting for our airtime.

Judging by the hysterical reaction it was one of the best goals ever scored in a football match.
From the BBC website: Rapid, brilliant and clinical, Manchester United lead ...............Breathtaking stuff.
AND also this
from an unbiased Phil Neville: Utd of old that counter attack - well done @AnthonyMartial

Looks like we are going to be slaughtered on Thursday night.
