Postionally maybe but not shirt wise, I believe he chose 33 as he wore it at palmeras when they won the title. Which is more believable than the one about it being the age Jesus died...

Sanchez for the number 9?

Yeah I read that he requested the number 33 last season. Maybe the number 9 might be too tempting for him? Or could it be Kelechi's if he isn't sold/loaned.

Well I'm sure nacho man didn't choose 72

Having just looked Gabriel has worn #9 for Brazil (as well as 10 & 11) so maybe 33 was the best available when he arrived so you could be right after all...

In an interview with the Gruniard Jesus said he asked for 33 and intends to wear it and keep it https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... ester-city no reference to the age when Jesus Christ died, albeit that 33 is debated by scholars....

Fabinho off to the swamp according to Marca, that'd be annoying.

Is that his full name?

This bloke also says sanchez will be a City player in the next few days.

Sam Lee said there was never any real indication we were trying to sign Fabinho other than maybe we were once linked to him.

Didn't fancy the 60 million asking price then - good way to save face?

here's the considered RAWK view

'My Prediction

1) Chelsea and City will go back in for him.
2) Van Dyck will turn down the offers.
3) He'll stay at Southampton and play professionally maybe until January or even the whole of next season.
4) We'll make an official offer at some point in the future to try and snap him up at a more reasonable price.

The bottom line is he stated publicly that he prefers us and that cannot be taken off the record.'

so much to admire
