I am a little surprised at your reticence towards Sanchez, MC. Manys the time you've bemoaned the fact we dont have four forwards like we used to. We have a chance to get one of the most consistent and adaptable forwards the PL has seen over the last three years and you aren't keen. I get his age is a drawback but he still has 3/4 good years left at least. Each to their own though

I know, I know NB, I can't explain it myself but, for some irrational reason, it just doesn't 'feel right' to me. Perhaps it's some form of subverted Rodney Marsh scenario which is gnawing away at me and his age and price are a subliminal concern.

I just don't know, but one thing is sure, I feel we need two more forwards, whomsoever they might be and if Sanchez makes me look like the proverbial idiot, I'll be as happy as a 'pig in muck' to be proven completely wrong.

Burnley starting now. Signed Charlie Taylor, a left back, from Leeds and have agreed a £3m fee with Stoke for Jon Walters

I wonder if that means Siggurdson is on his way out - he's been linked with a club or two recently.

Possibly, but have seen figures of £40m being quoted so that would put a lot of clubs who are sniffing round off. Doubt he'd go to a top 6 club and its unlikely a team from the next echelons of the PL would sanction a deal of that magnitude

He counts as Association Trained for UEFA purposes, though, which could improve his attractiveness for Top 6 teams in the PL. £40m is a hefty sum, though, for someone who might not be first pick...

It seems as though they identified their transfer targets early and have moved quickly to bring these about, which is quite creditable.

Hope it all works out for them next season, leaving Leeds fans infuriated and envious at the same time.
