I see what mean with regards to feeling like a loan. But a loan it most certainly is not.

IMHO I don't think he will be back, with or without a buy back clause. £25m, even in today's inflated market is good business. As much as I rate him, and his goals record for someone his age is truly superb, he doesn't look to have developed the all round game that the very top strikers have. I feel he is destined to become a goal poacher, no bad thing it must be said, but not one who is good enough to win a CL.

In some ways I hope we don't buy him back because it will mean we have spent £25m to effectively send him out on loan. Hardly good business. Unless his value has dramatically increased and it's a situation akin to Morata's when Madrid exercised a buy back from Juventus.

I think the same. He might develop into a good striker but not a great one, and his next move will not be a return to us.

A good deal for us and hopefully we have helped him to successful career, all the best Kelechi.

As we know pep demands that his players can play more than one position and Kelechi isnt that player he is an out and out striker and a goalscorer. So i think his development has continued to a point but he cant fulfil the requirements of the manager which became clear in the first half of last season.

His incredible goals to shots on target and goals to minutes ratio is based on a small sample period although remains impressive. If he is given more game time in his natural position it will be interesting to see if he can continue to bang in the goals. If he does his stock will rise and its great we have the option to buy back at £50m. If he has progressed at a similar rate he will be worth it and if he hasnt well thats fine.

I like his attitude he hasnt complained and is full of confidence. I will certainly be watching with interest.

50m seems ridiculous to me. For it to be valuable he has to become worth 50m plus, seems far fetched.

He has to become worth 25m plus, because we just pocketed 25m we wouldn't have if we merely loaned him.
If he scores around 20 goals two seasons in a row, he'll be worth 60-70m in today's market, nevermind 2019's, and we will get him for effectively 25m.

If he does well, but not exceptionally so, we'll pocket the 25m and call it a day.

How anyone can call this bad business or ridiculous is beyond me.

Not going to be easy for Kelechi as I expect Leicester are going to struggle this season and maybe will be relegation contenders. No way Leicester will create the same number of opportunities City would so Kelechi will need to be good. I think he is good and will be a success but I doubt he can hit 20 goals in the Leicester team.

He might just enjoy having a big so-and-so, in the form of Vardi, up front alongside him and, if this were to be the case, he might score a fair number of goals.

This might just be the difference between Leicester struggling to avoid the drop and being slightly safer a bit further up the table.

its actually quite a loaded front line for them right now: Vardy, Musa, Slimani, Ulloa, Okazaki, and now Nacho. you'd think with the money they spent on him he'd be up there with Vardy but they spent a bit on Slimani and Musa too.

£50m is nowhere near close to what you pay right now for a top striker. When Aguero ages we can bring him back.
