That just made me go & have a look & yeah it's fucking brilliant. Love the way he just slides along on his back. If someone did that to Rooney or Neville it'd be almost as good as getting to the cup final.

& also I agree Edge is to be congratulated on starting this thread.

The best poster on this site is barely out of short trousers.

A 19 year old with a name that contains too many vowels (3) and insufficient consenants (1) puts the vast majority to absolute shame and leaves the best of the rest in his pubescent wake.

This is a fact

I was glad when Sven got sacked. It's the only time I've felt that way.

I thought SP did a brilliant job in keeping us up. If he'd of got Malbranque we would have done better.

I miss Crossan winding me up.

Re. Foe, MVF (RIP), he belongs in this thread because it's true people moaned about him when he was playing, I heard it at Maine Road, so did you, and it was in MCIVTA every other week. Died too young, course he did. So did a young lad I saw do a turn at a comedy club for three weeks straight last year. Then one night he drove into a wall and was gone, but that didn't change the fact that half the audience had groaned whenever he came on stage.

Is that controversial enough?

Not really from my perspective, this might show why...

King Kev's views frequently make me ashamed to support the same team as him.

Can't be bothered reading through all the pages on this thread, but I think Anelka is the best striker in the Premiership.

Also, I fuckin love Joey Barton!

I think Wenger is vastly overrated, he hoovers up lots of young foreign players and is claimed to be a genius when another one breaks through. What about all the ones that don't make it? Well as no-one had ever heard of them before they joined they can be quietly shipped out. He also was the person that made it alright for Prem League clubs to disrespect our domestic cups. Yes he has helped Arsenal stay financially valid by not signing big name players but that also means that he has no pressure on him, when did he last win a trophy? And he's a classless twat when he loses (failing to shake Hughes' hand was just one example of this)

I disagree with all of them. Like I do with about 99% of posts on this topic.

Fifth is probably closest to truth but people seem to only remember good games from Maine Road. I went to couple of games where noise level wasn't really all that. I also had priviledge to be in couple of games where the place was bumbing and it was like being in heaven.

To continue with the subject, I think there is FUCK ALL wrong with CoMS. People just aren't willing to raise the roof "because it's not Maine Road". If people got over Maine Road, the place could be absolutely tremendous home for us. Remember, Maine Road wasn't our first home anyway.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

you disagree that the munich chants makes us sound like a bunch of mongs?

now I've heard it all I really have... because thats exactly what it does, whatever your reasoning for it being "ok" to do it

Look mate, I'm not going to enter the whole "munich" argument as it's done to death before. I wouldn't sing munich songs myself but would most certainly not condemn people doing so. And they are not much better with their bonfire's and Hillsborough songs and Russian submarines and so on and so on.

Besides, this was about controversial opinions.

In my ten years or so as a season ticket holder at Maine Road, I honestly don't remember a great deal of bumming going on.
