Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I saw this question on Facebook and I reckon it’s a cracker. Which former City player do you think would thrive the most under Pep?
There are two categories:
1. Real-time. Ie, Getting Robinho back would be useless as he’s too old.
I reckon this system would suit Jovetic. (The person on Facebook thought so too)
2. Time travel. The age they left the club. I’m tempted to say Stephen Ireland but I reckon Robinho would be amazing as our third striker.

Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Carlos Tevez - worked his b*ll*cks off when he wasn't playing golf I think he would have been perfect for a Pep side.

That's a very good call. I think Lakey would have been able to play in this system, probably anywhere except in net.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Also think a prime Distin would have been great alongside Stones

Ali Berarbia without question. The opposition would need their own ball
Edit. Just saw point 2. Dammit

Would have to be Kinkladze for me, the Gerogian genius was our David Silva of his day!

Very nice one, Dazzler!
excellent break breaker

cheers for it.
1. Boateng, would be the most useful.
2. Paul Lake an excellent shout, but the dream time machine is too much a great fascination to not take it in the whole: having the real King bossing the park alongside his current heir would make this City, most probably, the greatest side ever: Colin Bell, for me.

Call me crazy, but Craig Bellamy, for personality and no nonsense approach , rather than overall ability. Not that it's been a problem this season, but he'd accept nothing less than 100% in every game from his teammates. He'd have killed players like Kolarov, Petrov and Nasri for their lethargy.
Tevez for his obvious tenacity.
In terms of sentiment, Zabaleta, Dunne, young SWP, Rosler and Kinkladze.

Trippier maybe for current players? We need defenders and he’s come on a lot since he left.
As for former players it’s a tough one. Tevez and Robinho would be exciting but again we’d probably be best served adding a defender so I’ll say distin in his prime. Good shout and I agree.
Tracking back is overrated.
