Pep will do the same v Shaktar as it is our biggest game and defining game of the season against the rags a few days later . If Carlsberg did perfect situations ........
they wouldn't have Stones injured for 6 weeks

Stones only out for a month or so JC and it was that plank Southgate who over played him in the recent waste of space internationals .

In his OS interview Pep seemed to imply that he would only start two youngsters - they need the protection of the experienced players. It looks as though the Mangler is starting so maybe Tosin misses out.

Norwich might need him that weekend.
if we get away with it though we might as well put Maffeo in at right back.

Let’s just play without a left back, 10 v 11 will give them a chance and we don’t risk Delphinho

I think we need to win this, and win this well to send the message that we are serious about the competition. Coming top is a must and by doing it well it sends a message, no only to other teams, but to ourselves that you will have to play fantastically to get anything at all. Putting fear into teams before they come up against us helps us beat them before they even step foot on the field of play.
There'll be rotation but not too concerned who plays, as long as we come off worthy winners.

Just heard on local radio Manchester old bill are marching Feyenoord fans from city center to the Etihad at 5pm . There must be a good number of them and they have a bit of history .

You think? I thought he was tidy for the most part, frustrated at his lack of ambition to drive to the byline and he did tire late on but reasonably competent overall, considering.

he also no longer featured in Pep's latest (very short) list of possible covering players for LB when Delph was a doubt for Leicester

I know I am harsh but I don't think he ever crossed even once, with ample chances. Also far, far too slow - but then I think he is a midfielder by trade, not a wing back/full back.
I try and see players how they appear on the field when they play for City, without the 'oh but he's young and he must be a young prospect and we'll cut him some slack' head on
In my view Foden is good enough to play

I'm not looking at the oh he's young angle either John, I just believe 'shocking' is an exaggeration.
The 'considering' bit was owing to his lack of match sharpness and lack of familiarity with that position.

We need to top the group, score first and this game will be over, win and we probs top the group.
Gundo, B.Silva, Yaya and Foden should make enough for Aguero to sink them.
I dont think they will have enough of the ball to present problems to anyone at LB so not an issue for me.
I would think their coach will be concentrating on how he can get something positive for his squad ( like in a test of character, training game way )
he has fuck all else to play for.

I would agree Zin wasn't shocking but limited for the role he was given and lacking self belief.
The interesting part will be at centre back. With the limited options we have there I suepsect Pep would like to save his "chosen " two for the next league match but it's a bit of a risk if that leaves Tosin and Mangala. Going to be a fascinating game anyway.
Foden must be a starter would be mu guess but Brahim may just come on as sub with Sterling starting the game.
