Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I don't know if it's good etiquette to reference another forum but the fact is that the penny is beginning to drop with some rags in this thread: -
http://www.redcafe.net/threads/using-mo ... se.434488/If it means I can have meaningful football conversations with some friends, I'm all in favour.

There are times when it is perfect etiquette. And this is one
“I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.”

Actually quite a decent thread in there.
The realisation of what we are about is years too late though. They are playing serious catch up and Jose will leave them worse off.

Basically it states that any United fan clinging to the premise that we are better than them because we spent more is delusional.
Strangely they are all in agreement that they have spent nearly as much but got far less value.
Also they realise that we have had a plan since well before Pep arrived and bought players to suit a philosophy of football.
They’re in general agreement that Pep’s way is progressive and Mourinho’s style is dead.
I’ve left out the colourful detail but that’s the body of the debate.

Excellent summary.

I wouldn't normally bump a thread, but I disagree. I'm still revelling in rag discomfort after years of ridiculous banter.

Doing the same as us when we were shit but had money.
Wanking it on daft players instead of on a team. Buying talent and hoping it works.
Let them sack mourinho at the end of the season and then spend 200 million to stay above arsenal.
Dickheads.

There was a post on another discussion saying that we started the Derby with only 4 players bought by Pep. And for 150m. The others have all been improved by Pep.

It was touch and go there for a while with the snow maybe interfering with the derby going ahead...
Your thoughts at the time please?

Agree entirely. Some of the best enjoyment in football these days. I waited a very long time to be able to enjoy them suffering and I ain't gonna miss it!
