Firstly Bear, why bury this in OT? It's football related (probably more so than in the Maine forum).
As for the question, I didn't know Wolves stepped out to it too, chelski have as far back as I remember though.
It's a bit like Z cars, Everton and watford both use, there are probably other tunes due to catchiness that lend themselves to the terrace used by mire than one club.

It's also sung by West Brom supporters. My missus is a baggie, and still sad about Cyrille Regis.
Harry J and the Allstars recorded it, she tells me. I used to confuse it with "Double Barrel" by Dave and Ansell Collins.
