One thing for me is the wileird tendancy to have a rest with the ball as soon as we get 2-0 up. I’d much rather kill a team while we have them down. Just recently we’ve allowed united, spurs and west ham all back in the game at 2-0 just by stopping our own attack.

before and after going 2-0 up in all those games we have had some gilt edged chances... issue therefore still is FINISHING.

476 shots at goal in 35 games equals an average of 13.6 attempts per game.... we average well over 20 attempts on goal / game so they are only taking shots on target into account.

Ah, a response at last. Go to any of the stats sites and they will show you NT that City have the best conversion rate in the league.

It's not something that needs fixing, something that needs improving? Yes, there's always room for improvement but fixing suggests something is broke, if we're broken on this aspect of the game what does it say for the rest?

They won't allow a final to start with a huge number of fans booing the crap out of their anthem. So that would be my thing that needs fixing.

With sponsor tickets, opposition fans, and people on our special cup schemes being prioritized for tickets, how many people who boo the anthem will be in the stadium? 7k at most, I'd bet.

The majority of fans in the stadium are on the cup scheme, including me.

I'm not sure it's the 'majority' - not trying to be obtuse or anything, but attendance figures for League Cup early rounds and some CL group games would suggest otherwise.

Also, there'd be maybe 20k tickets for our fans at best for a CL final - surely, if a 'majority'of ST holders are on the scheme, a fair few will be left empty-handed, especially considering the double points and other schemes the club have available for the more financially capable.

I didn't know there was such an improvement on last year (the first group game had 31K attendance, although I can't remember if there were external reasons for that, and for the 51K against Celtic I'd have said the ground was only 75-80% full, with plenty of people with Scottish accents sitting around me). Then again, 43K still means 10K empty seats, and plenty of those that were filled will have been filled by people who weren't on the cup scheme.

What kind of allocation do you expect the club to give out to 'regular matchgoers' (i.e. those on a cup scheme, but not on inflated loyalty points or some kind of 'exclusive' membership, who'll be given priority) in the event we do reach a CL final?

This season it's 33 thousand between both teams. So on that basis 10 thousand, tops. Probably more like 7 thousand.
